In short: Good flat run and well organised
In full: I was seriously glad of the perfect weather conditions - in the heat or wind this would have been relentless. Very well organised and fortunately we didn't have to stop for any aircraft etc. The sudden spurts of gunfire were slightly alarming! The fact it's on the airbase means was interesting, but means there are no supporters which is a shame. The first half felt like it was uphill but then the reward was a gradual downhill on the way home. Lots of loos and water - very well organised.
