In short: For a non-club organised event, extremely efficient
In full: Everything right - mile markers in right place, start and finish areas well organised and some nice views for the slower runners to enjoy and a good challenging course of slight climbs, twists and turns and gusty winds for the more competitive runners to deal with.

In short: Interesting way of awarding prizes for slower runners
In full: Despite the first 5 female runners across the line being V40s the organisers contrived to award prizes to the first 3 `senior women' even though the fastest in this category was over 20 mins behind the race winner and 2 mins behind the 4th F40 who got nothing.

Shame as the course organisation and marshalling was excellent

In short: Excellent race but sort out that finish please
In full: Could you not...

1. Finish the race straight onto the field instead of the sharp turn in mud or...

2. Start the race further back on the road and finish on that track?

In short: Well organised local race with friendly marshalls and race organiser
In full: Had a great day thanks to the co-operation of DDT. We ran the course once as a warm up, raced then once again as a warm down for a long run.

One point about the prizes - how about calling up the first man and woman together, then 2nd man and woman etc for equality's sake.

Would definitely choose this again for a Christmas blast.

In short: Get down to brass tacks - it's good value, flat and a good vibe
In full: Right - scenery? Well I'd drive round the `Pocklington Scenic Drive' if that was important.

It was well organised and marshalled. Oh dear if you had to walk 1/2 mile to the start. Include it in your warm up then.

At the end I found asking the question `which way is it back to race HQ' quite useful for finding my way back to the car.

Never done this before but this is a top top race.

There was a query about the accuracy of mile markers around mile 5. Any observations?

Otherwise A1 stuff from Pocklington RR. Well done!

In short: An excellent local 10k which gets all the important things right
In full: Can't fault this race at all. Super organisation, flat course, good strong field and good VFM.

Well done Dewsbury RR.

In short: Top HM in the area
In full: Excellent marshalling and organisation as usual. I think some of the mile markers between 1 and 8 could do with remeasuring though...

In short: Excellent organisation and friendly marshalls.
In full: Flat course - has pb potential. On the other hand would have been frustrating to be on pb time turning into the last section with slippy mud. Nothing the organisers can do about that though. Maybe some matting on the grass in the last 100m?

Good choice on venue and HQ - plenty of changing space and bar. Ample car parking as well.

Any idea why the start was delayed by 10 mins?

In short: Excellent all round as usual
In full: I found no trouble getting a decent start. But then I don't run around 45 mins for a 10k then slag off `walkers' like some on here. If you think you're fast enough, get to the front Wayne.
