In short: good race well run
In full: hi
It was a good race well run for a first time at this distance, there was plenty of water stations and faily good support from the locals, I thought the finish was really well managed but the start area was a bit basic. ( please make sure that the toilet suppliers place the urinals with bit of thought, not as a funnel to the main loos). prizes it would have been nice if some cert or something for best of cat could be given, I won my group, my first ever win at 66 but did not get anything to keep, lots of races do give vets some award. I do hope to be back next year because I did enjoyed the race.

In short: great race
In full: Really enjoyed it, the marsalls did a good job
normally I do not like doing lap races but this one I enjoyed. Only one problem was that you only had one portaloo at Packington which is not so good, I had to wait for 5mins with quite a few desperate ladies , I think you should have at least 2/3 toilets there, I did not see any others on the route.

In short: a great race
In full: Traveled from Derby to do this race, and it was worth the effort, Tenby is a lovely place and the run had lovely scenery all the way.It was very well run with the water stations just about right. This is my third marathon after London & Edinburgh so it did have more hills but not to bad compared to were I train, I can recommend this race and would love to do it again but at 66 I want to do different marathons each time.

In short: it was hot
In full: I enjoyed the race, though it was very hot and humid, could do pb here if not so hot or if it was windy as the site is quite open. down side was water, in effect there was 3 water stations (one passed three times)but they only gave quarter of a cup,on such a warm evening why? and the marshals did seem as if they did'nt want to be there. Anyway I was in general happy with the evening.

In short: Hell started when the race finished
In full: At 65 I am new to marathon running, I did London marathon so I had really looked forward to this event, but by the time I had got to the macmillan tent I was in great distress and was was saved by kind help given by the team there. The orginisers have to take on board that they have got to understand what they are making people do after such a long race. The weather though they can't pick it they should consider it, how they would like to be presented with them conditions at the end of a very hot day or cold/wet if it had been. good points I really did like the medal, the support, and I felt everything else they had done was good

In short: My first marathon at 65
In full: Well I had heard that the support from the crowds was good, I think it was fantastic. I had hoped to do it in under 4hrs but came in at 4.21 11 and considering the crowds of runners I was pleased with it, the support along the race was also great, with ample water, sweets, energy drinks etc.For me there where two major problems 1. the baggage number did not match my race No and if my wife had not spotted it I dread to think what finish would have been like.
2 Also the number of people who went into faster bays when the tapes where removed, making for a very conjested run,but at the finish, I was very pleased with finishing my first Marathon.
