In short: Establishing itself as a classic
In full: Great race, slick organisation, legendary Turbo X Zone, good banter. The May course is mildly more interesting than this one which lacks far reaching views, but thats not what its all about. Overall a real good laugh. Definitely one to try. Am still scrubbing mud from bits I havent felt for years..

In short: Tougie, but a goodie
In full: Much better organisation this year, with more than enough markings compared to last years effort. Great views, good camaraderie, strong field and long enough to make it a properly memorable outing. One minor gripe would be no water stations for about an hour after mile 4 (we had to cadge some water from a friendly marshalls personal supply!), but that won't stop me being back next year. Great that it's on a Saturday morning, too. Well done!
Ps. Great medal!

In short: A let down on previous years, but fun
In full: Hobbit Matt has got it slightly wrong when he mentions about getting lost on the course but I wish him well. The fact is after about 7 miles when your eyes are popping out and you've your eyes on your footing, then, well..overall there just wasn't enough direction! Great race as always, though, but other years have been better. Will be back!

In short: Uplifting and a great morning run
In full: I did this back in 2009 at the start of my running and came back from 50 miles away this year. Caught it on a fine spring day and realised why I enjoyed it so much last time round. The weather, scenery and excellent friendly set up made it a great morning. Running thru fields, over a beautiful river and hopping stiles. Low key, fun, and one for the annual calendar. Thank you!

In short: A fast run with some ok scenery, but quite pricey
In full: I suppose as it's near my doorstep I might find it less exciting than if travelling from further afield, but its the sort of run you might do on a Sunday morning on your own accord. Only you get to do the same lap twice. It serves it's purpose and, drawing in a fair size crowd, many in training for marathons, the atmosphere is good and the set-up fairly slick. Although so it should be for the money. My only real gripe is that everything Human Race does smacks of money making: from the steamy entrance fee to the pay bag drop and car park. But I guess they're in it for a profit. Saying all that, I'll probably have another pop at it next year! It's good to have the rest of Sunday ahead, so quite enjoy the early start.

In short: Tough, but all the right ingredients to make a very good run
In full: Good starting time, competitive field (but friendly!), nice scenery, good length of race, mixture of hills and flats, mud and fields (without being an obstacle course), and encouraging marshalls. Like the fact I'm at home on the sofa with bacon sarnie in front of saturday kitchen by 10.30 am with the rest of the weekend in front of me! Keep it up team.

In short: Over hyped
In full: 2 laps around an average wood for the money involved; not great. If you've done Hellrunner, Saab Salomon Turbo X, etc etc for the same price then you'll know what I mean. Being on a Saturday morning is a bonus, but no water stations isnt! Well organised, but so it should be for the price.
