In short: I've run this race for last 3 years. Only problem for me is way the price has rocketed, but the race and facilities stayed the same.
In full: Good course that can be windy as it's an exposed coastline. Fairly good PB potential, but don't see how they justify the price. Mainly run along cyclepath. Some of the marshalls were great, but some didn't want to be there at all....On my doorstep, but might be time for a change next year

In short: Brilliant race- a firm favourite!
In full: Hilly, but fun and great cawl afterwards. Good to see that the hat was a different colour from last year's! See you again next year!

In short: Great race that just needs a bit of tweaking to be fantastic!
In full: Got to start by saying I had a great time! Despite the hills I got a sub 1:30 PB, so very happy. Marshalling and support were fantastic! Course was picturesque in the villages and hills were only bumps to those of us crossing the border:) 180 mile round trip for me and will be back next year. Only minor gripe would be that i didn't realise where start was and so ended up at the back of 600 runners- long wide detour and much faster than planned to get past. Segregation of starting times would help, but think chip timing is the answer- especially if the field keeps growing!

In short: Great value and well organised; shame about gravel sections!
In full: Thought this was very good value for money and was well organised, as indeed are the event organisers' other events. Not as flat as you might think as 12 bridge crossings included! My only major problem was the long section of loose gravel track and loss of traction that went with it. Still managed a PB though! Water stations and marshalls good on the whole- could have included iso drinks though

In short: great course, but longer this year!
In full: Really enjoyed the day and the weather was fantastic. The only gripe (but it's a big one) is about the course length. The last turning point seemed to be further out than last year from what I remember and, like others have mentioned, my Garmin gave it as 13.25m. Bit annoying to do 13.1m in 1:29.52 and not finish in under 1:30

In full: great race with cawl, bread and cheese, wooly hat and bottle of water - bargain! great atmosphere and great scenery too. Glorious weather helped this year!! Will be back!

In short: hard as nails, but fantastic fun!!!!
In full: A great race! a few minor hiccups with the buses in the morning, but nothing too bad ( especially as i waited inside the hall until the last bus!! Full of admiration and gratitude to the marshalls and supporters! The locally produced slate coaster was a nice touch. Understand that the certificates are posted out after the event.
