In short: Loved it! Perfect conditions, very friendly, excellent support on the course. In full: Really enjoyed this race. Course was not as challenging as I had expected which helped a new PB. Banter amongst the many club runners kept a smile on your face for much of the race. Lots of support out on the course and the cadets at the drink and sponge stations along with all the enthusiastic marshalls deserve medals! Date of review: March 14, 2011

In short: This race goes from strength to strength, The support out on the course is brilliant. It isn't the flattest half in the world but that is part of the appeal of Swindon. In full: This is one of those races that you want to be bigger as it is so good but then it may loose some of its' charm. It is very well organised and extremely friendly. I thought the balloons across the road at the 3 mile water station was a nice touch, so too were the jelly babies, energy drinks, ice lollies at the 10 mile drinks station - really excellent - well done Swindon! In short: Really enjoyed the run, weather conditions were perfect, brass band?! Was not expecting that in the middle of the moor! In full: Nice down hill start, some gentle inclines in the next couple of miles but overall one of the flattest races you will find in Cornwall. The little touches just made you smile, the crocodiles, the lion, the beaver?! or whatever it was and of course the brass band - I was not expecting that at all, quite sureal on a wet August day in the middle of Goss Moor to find a brass band playing tunes for the runners - brilliant - that will have me smiling all week! 2010 Bath Half-Marathon
 | | Overall score | | 60% | | Would you do it again? | | Maybe | | | | Details: | | Scenery | | 60% | | PB potential | | 80% | | Atmosphere | | 60% | | Organisation | | 40% | | Value | | 40% | | Beginner-friendliness | | 60% |
In short: First time doing bath having heard nightmares from previous years. Overall organisation was OK but forget a PB if you are in the mass start as it is too crowded for the first three to four miles In full: Great atmosphere but could be better organised to get to the start line. Seemed to be a bit of a squeeze getting 15,000 runners down a narrow lane to the start line. Given the route it is definately PB material but the sheer number of people make it impossible to get by the slower runners in the first few miles so couldn't get into stride and settle into a decent pace until 3 to 4 miles in. By this time too much time to make up. That said was still an enjoyable run. May do it again, but it is quite pricey. Can do Plymouth and Eden for the same price as Bath! In short: What a splendid way to start the new year. Magnificent scenery and great fun. In full: My first time doing the 'brown willy' and have to say what a fantastic way to start the new year. On a fabulously clear day could see both North and South Cornwall coasts. Well done to the organisers and to the cornwall rescue for coming out on a freezing day. I hope Alan Williams survived without injury at the start of his Run31 year - Good luck Alan for the rest of the year. Date of review: January 1, 2010
