In short: Great having the Colliseum to get warm in - before and after
In full: Really good idea having the massage team there. My friend literally could not walk for cramp (that was him howling in pain) - and they completely sorted him out in 20 minutes, while I had a nice cup of tea.

In short: Looking forward to doing it in sunshine next year
In full: Well done to the marshals who stayed cheery in awful conditions. That was SO wet. Half the skin on my toes has fallen off. Maybe the council could be persuaded to sort out the road drainage a bit in a couple of places? If you were there, you know where I mean.

In short: Half marathon - lovely route
In full: For next year - people should print off (or be given) the map ... easier to follow than instructions, especially when your brain's stopped working. I was glad I did, and so were a dozen others. It's not the hills that get you (there's just the one at the start) but the rough terrain, especially that darned ploughed field. Aren't farmers supposed to flatten a public footpath after ploughing?

In short: Nice varied scenery and terrain
In full: I don't really want yet another medal or T shirt - maybe they could divert the cost and effort into speeding up the collection of numbers, and giving us a whole apple / banana / orange at the end. 15 minute delay doesn't seem too awful.

In short: Feels like an achievement every time
In full: That last hill is never easy - which makes the last mile down feel great. Slight negative: it's crowded for the first mile - the field has multiplied by 3 since I first did this. Also I gave up on the freezing water in flimsy cups a long time ago, and carry my own drink.
