In short: My home town event. Will be back in 2011. Minor niggle: Need more water available at the finish

In full: Debut marathon and recorded a 3h44 with a negative split. Why? Because the on course support spectators and officials was extraordinary.
For once believe the hype. Simply an amazing race.

In full: It's got PB written all over it!Beat mine by 105 seconds. Organisation was pretty good but needed more toilets hence the 15 minute delay in starting. Course was abit bleak but it is January. I imagine it would be lovely by the lake in mid summer. The double loop was not great but it was at least good for the spectators present.I used this event in my build up for VLM 2010. Suited purpose very well.

In short: Parts of the course were not great (bumpy single track) but this is my home town big race so would definately do again. Great support and a nice welcoming finish in the market place.

In short: Great atmosphere and well organised. Parts of the course are very dull (duel carriageway) but finishing in the stadium is incredible.

In short: Glorious sunny autumn day. Set in grounds of Highclere Castle so some stunning views. Very friendly but tough course. Bet some of the hills would be a nightmare if it rained.

In full: Great support. A big thankyou to the people of Portsmouth. The wave starts needed bigger intevals given the size of the field. I was placed in white wave c with a predicted time of 1h12mins. Spent the entire race dodging between much slower runners ahead of me; some of whom were walking after 1 mile! A good event but should have been excellent.
