In short: One tough 10k!
In full: Would have loved to have done this oe in the summer months, the recent downpours mate the course extremely boggy in most places & the ground was saturated all over! Not a race for runners wanting a PB - but the race itself was great, a really tough challenge but lovely countryside, excellent marshalls & a really good atmosphere. Trainers in the wash as I speak - puddles in places were literally ankle deep, which added to the fun. Great sense of acheivement crossing the line!

In short: Reminds you why you run
In full: Excellent race, all of the marshalls & spectators cheered you around the 3 laps which seemed to go very quickly, making a great atmosphere. Course has a great hill & a tough incline thrown in to make you earn that Xmas pud! Really enjoyed it - be back next year! Well done to all involved!

In short: Good course, tough windy weather
In full: 1st time coming up from Stoke on Trent for this one, good but challenging course & a tough one to obtain a PB in. Would have been a great day but for the wind which was a shocker esecially as the inclines hit you with the wind full in your face!
Good support from locals & marshalls bit subdued at finish line though.
Would definately do it again!

In short: More difficult that you may think!
In full: Started off too quickly, paid for it big time at 11 miles but still got a PB of 1:43 so can't moan too much. Water stations couldn't get the water out quick enough so missed out at the 6 mile mark when I needed some fluids & in general there wasn't a great deal off support from marshalls all the way around the course - the general public who came to watch were great though. I am definately doing this one again & will be better off for the experience this year!

In short: Tough hills but good a good challenge & great scenery!
In full: Not knowing what to expect was part of the fun of the race. Great run along really quiet roads with some very tough hills. Thanks to the marshalls who were excellent & really supportive all of the way around (good support can really make a race & push you on) & to the volunteers at the water stations. Nice touch with the water bottle to accompany the medal at the end too! Well done to all involved, looking forward to next year!
