In short: Well done again B&D, This is a must do race in North Lincs and E.Yorks
In full: I cant heap enough praise on the organisers, the race went like clockwork and they booked the weather too. Yes the course in undulating but its fair and what goes up does come back down again. Seen lots of PB's on run britain and i was no exception taking 50 secs off and going under 45 mins for the first time, so this is NOT a slow course...

the previous review mentioned toilets, agree more needed for next year.. apart from that faultless, cracking Technical T shirt, cakes and sports massage at the end... WELL DONE ALL & See you next year :)

In short: hot and tough with some little niggles
In full: when a race is advertised as chip timed it suprised me when once id run through the start i hadnt run over any mats, then hey presto i realised there werent any... so my plan of starting further back and working my way through was blown to pieces before i start... this combined with my pet hate of collecting numbers on the day was not a good start. on the positives though after a rather dreary run down a never ending main road the scenery was very nice on the way back down the tow path, but caution, despite it being advertised as flat (yes ) but fax?? on that gravel tow path, im not so sure...Also as ever another hot one, not the organisers fault of course and the race did start at 9am so at least this was considered...

hung around for the presentations and was impressed to see a 1500 quid cheque handed over to local charities and then hung around by the river for a few hours for the pub to open and scoffed a sunday lunch to get rid of the frustrations of earlier...

In short: incredible awe inspiring support, a must do race in the calendar
In full: my first marathon and the support absolutely blew me away to be honest. Only one or two quiet spots on the entire course, Shoreham was hard but once you got back on the neverending run back down the prom the support was nothing short of incredible.. if i was cheered on over a thousand times i wouldnt be suprised. Got cramp at 25 miles and had to stop and stretch and when i set off again there was a huge cheer!! great race, will be back (maybe not next year as doing paris but defo 2013!)

In short: scenic, flat, fast and friendly
In full: not alot more to say than the summary really. The race was well organised, well marshalled, well supported and the course was flat, fast and i smashed 55 secs off my pb even though i had been laid up with cold and gout for the fortnight previous... goodness knows what time i might have done had i been right on the day... seriously good race highly recommended
