In short: Windy & hilly, may favourite combination!
In full: I really love this race. Hard to evaluate if 2012 course was better in senses than previous years?

Wow, what a hill to have a finish line mud way up though.

Marshals; thankyou, you was really uplifting.

In short: Electrifying start
In full: Just superb. I'm a seasoned marathon & half marathon runner, and have never seen such an unbelievably slick, high energy start. Of course a big race always needs more toilets, and this is especially true of the GNR.

Would love to do it next year. Highly recommended.

All races should have Red Arrow flypasts!!

Well done GNR, you deserve the reputation.

In short: My third year running, it's a great 10k
In full: Definitely felt like the numbers are swelling, and so it should, I couldnt recommend a race more.

PB this year, yay!

Love the fact you get bagels afterwards, a great goodie bag (not surprising Runners Need are proud of there association to this event), but you can even tap in your race number and check your time.

Well done frontrunners.

In short: Reminds me why I like local club events
In full: Difficult fpor spectators, but a really nicely organised, professional, enjoyable half.

Bit of a torment at the end doing that little circle of the band stand when you can see the finish line in site, only to then be hit with another detour lapping the track to the finish.

Charming race, friendly runners.

nice nice nice....

Amazing this run has no others reviews given its 35th year? will be back for the 36th year....

In short: Really nice running with no headphones, just enjoying the scenery!
In full: Will run this again next year for sure, loved the course. Easy race for spectators to trail, although not many out this year?

Never like confusion around starts, nobody really knew which way to face, traffic confused etc. Not a deal breaker, truly loved the event, well done Ranelagh.

(just a commercial thought, football club would triple it's revenue if finish on it's grounds?)

In short: Far superior to last year!
In full: Well done organisers, it was really evident you'd sat up and listened to last years feedback.

Much improved course. Arguably a bit extreme the positioning of bag check!!

Only frustration, was that I'd paid for a VIP entry as I'd been late applying, the only privilege for the high price tag was the technical t-shirt. So annoying that there was only small and medium available. I was fairly early back to.

Well done & thanks for listening last year.

In short: I'd always expected not to enjoy, but I really did!
In full: So yes, annoying about the delay. But not strictly the organisers fault.

I had an overall goo experience, friendly marshalls, good route etc.

Shame the energy drink stands literally 1 minute after the the water station?

I was in pen 2, so didnt experience any delays at start or finish, and actually thought the field settled fast. Held an almost perfectly balance pace.

As for music; certainly didnt add to my enjoyment. In fact, stopped removing my headphones. Volume too low, so couldnt really hear? the mix of local artist was very unbias towards a certain music type.

All said and done, great day.

(ohh final note, I am not surprised runners returning later missed out on bars, I see many people taking whole boxes, and cases of drink. Yes the organisers should have prevented this; but come on fellow runners of London, this is just unfair and frankly rude to your fellow runners)
