In short: 24 hours of amazing, glorious team and solo racing
In full: all positives to say about this amazing event! 24 hours where emotions are extremes high and lows. thanks to the organisers; sponsors Adidas, Buff; marshals;supporters from all the team who spent the whole time cheering on everyone (you were amazing). the 10km course was challenging with hills, twists, turns, a bit of mud and now i have the sore legs to prove i was there. i was part of the winning 'Olympic Hopefuls' who were 1st in the mixed 6-8 team event and 1st team overall. so as you can imagine, we are over joyed. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all involved.....

In short: new route make race better
In full: new route again this year meant it was better. this was spoilt by the strong wind in miles 8-10! well marshalled, good signage (apart from 1st mile marker in wrong place...about 0.13 mile from correct place), expensive to enter and no race t-shirt, unless u wanted to buy it. overall, a decent race.

In short: tough but glorious, scenic race
In full: a gloomy foggy morning welcomed the runners to exeter race course. a wet, muddy course welcomed us to a great race. Haldon trail runners put on a race that supported a great cause - heartswell SW and even had a local celebrity to start the race, Judy Spiers.

In short: race that worked on many levels
In full: after 1 or 2 problems last year, Armada Athletics pulled out all the stops this year to ensure a smooth running, including organising some excellent running weather! well done to Paul Ross, Keith Reed, John Smith and all the other marshals, helpers, pre and post race massagers, supporters etc for making it brilliant. i paced round my mate so i was able to enjoy the sights around the Hoe properly for once. shame devon couldnt beat cornwall in the Peninsula challenge!

In short: unbelievably scenic run.
In full: i did the 10k race in late October and enjoyed the return. the devon vs cornwall element adds a spice to an enjoyable if tough race. everyone cheered on runners who were running for the same county and booing runners from the other. uphill finish was hard and it seemed to go on forever. thanks to Maddie, Jay and their team for this. hope it grows and grows.
