In short: A Fantastic Half Marathon
In full: This is my 4th City of Norwich Half Marathon in as many years and it just keeps getting better and better on all levels. First class organisation, excellent atmosphere, facilities, car parking, t-shirts and goody bag. The medal is excellent quality as promised and the race is excellent value for money. The course (2 laps) is a definite PB, but not for me yesterday, (lack of training and heavy winds) however is was my second fastest time on this course. Well done to all those involved in organising another great event.

In short: A Great race with some challenging climbs!
In full: This is the second time I have run this race. Previously ran it in appalling conditions back in February 2010. This time the weather held, slightly overcast, but at least no rain, sleet or snow! Having said that, this year I was 12 minutes slower (not enough training!). A great scenic course, well marshalled, all offering encouragement. Race HQ had soup for all competitors and a great goody bag at the end. Having ditched all the free flyers from the previous year in the bin, it was good to see what was in the goody bag, was worth having. Lastly, this race is a great warm up for Norwich Half Marathon.

In short: A mix of road and cross country with great scenic views.
In full: North Norfolk Beach Runners have replaced the Holt 7 mile with this new route which combines road with cross country. The off road was very enjoyable, especially as I do the majority of my training around field tracks and this enabled the runner to gain impressive views. My only negative of the race was at the finish. Not enough water was on offer, secondly the race promised a medal as well as a t-shirt, but this did not appear. T-Shirt poor quality, heavily sponsored - one for decorating in!

In short: Nice scenic half marathon
In full: Having been running for the last three years, this is the first time I've ran the Great Yarmouth Half Marathon. Nice, safe scenic route, I think I was only passed by 2 cars the entire race, which is refreshing. Marshall's all gave encouragement, although on the last roundabout, 1.5 miles from home, there was no marshall so I took a guess as to which way to head home! Nevertheless, a nice goody bag, featuring a bottle of Adnam's ale and a quality t-shirt. My only suggestion would be a medal for completing a half marathon, but that's just my personal choice, however, the t-shirt is quality. Well done all.

In short: A pleasant, well organized 10K, but never a PB
In full: This is the 3rd year I have run this race and its popularity has certainly grown. As a result of this, the start is now becoming very congested. However, that is only my negative point. As a result of getting boxed in at the beginning I was slower than last year! On the positive side, a nice scenic race combining road with track with some slight inclines along the way! A mug again this year was given as a memento, stop prizes plus fruit - good value for money.

In short: Nice scenic 4 mile run, combined with a friendly atmosphere, plus a great first timers race!
In full: Nice scenic 4 mile run, combined with a friendly atmosphere, plus a great first timers race! As this was the first Edingthorpe 4 mile run, I entered it. The back lanes were very quiet and I only so the one car which was good. The whole event was well organised with refreshments at the other end. However, my only disappointment was to receive a pen for finishing rather than a medal as mentioned on the online entry page on this website.

In short: Excellent atmosphere, organization and marshals.
In full: Excellent atmosphere, organization and marshals. This race is fast becoming part of my annual fixture list as a result of the above. Richard Polley and crew, have nailed an excellent race, which seems to attract more and more runners each year. All marshalls provide encouragement and as always an excellent goody bag to finish with, plus a choice of fresh fruit. Well done to all concerned.

In short: Well organised, excellent marshalls, great warm up for marathon.
In full: A well organised race, excellent scenic course and a nice warm up for the marathon. The marshalls gave excellent support. My only slight negative, as per another reviewer, that a medal rather than a hat would be a nice gesture after 20 miles and the entrance fee warranted slightly more than what the goody back had to offer.

In short: Great run and possible PB. But at £17.50 entrance fee a little steep?
In full: Apart from the adverse weather conditions, hail, snow, sleet and rain. This is a great course through lovely countryside and a possible PB. However, limited car parking and £17.50 entrance fee did stop me from rating this higher. A good medal for those who completed the 20K, but the rest of the goody bag, apart from the beer, was flyers which went into the recycle bin!

In short: A Great Fun Run especially for the first time racer
In full: This is a great fun run and if you are expecting to gain a PB then you are in for a shock. Great atmosphere, goody back and a course which packs in cross country, trail, road and grass. An excellent race for the first timer, as they will feel very at ease given the atmosphere which is created by Norfolk Gazelles.
