In short: super fast course with lovely weather
In full: great race today and cannot fault it. First of all excellent pre race communication alerting us to parking issues at the race course due to weather. So many parts of today worked really well, especially the baggage handling system and the water stations which were both superbly ran and staffed. The course after the first four miles was really quick and well supported. The medal was great and the t-shirt collection and funnelling at the end was great. Having ran the Chester Marathon last year I new this would be a good well organised race and I was not disappointed.Certainly be back next year and already looking forward to the Chester full

well done all the marshals and helpers and thank you to the people of Chester great support

In short: Great race ruined by dreadful communication
In full: My third Stratford marathon but not quite. Awful weather and terrible communication ended my marathon as like many others I had not heard of the cancellation. Luckily I ran Worcester two weeks earlier and will do next year. I felt for all those like me who were. Denied a marathon. This is normally a fantastic race and the weather usually lovely and to all those saying never again Stratford I would advise you to think again next year. I would also say to the race organizers please at the very least am end your website and apologise to all the full runners who did not hear the cancellation. Also end the silliyness of not offering sports drinks for a marathon. Stratford has a great reputation which has been slightly tarnished yesterday and must work to get it back. Weather like yesterday was freakish. The Marshall's and supporters on the course were fantastic

Please next year sunny weather a PA system that works and better communication

Also the last two Stratford marathons have had a dated medal to give us one with no date on was poor

See you next year

In short: challenging undulating run through lovely countryside
In full: This was my home town race and one I was looking forward to. The venue at sixways was great for parking if you got there early. There were no changing facilities I could find, but pleanty of loos. The start was a bit late and mile markers at some points were alledgley stolen. There was traffic about and maybe a few more marshalls would be great. However, despite these teething problems it was good run.The course was fairly undulating and took us through fantastic scenery and lovely villages. The locals that came out were great and high fives and jelly babies were plentiful. The marshalls were good and encouraging.I would have liked a timing clock at the finish line.I enjoyed the race and will do it again. The race has potential. I personally would have liked it a week or to early,so my legs can recover for Stratford.I hope this marathon contines and despite a small few issues it was very good. Many new races have a few issues so please lets have another one in 2013

In short: Really warm run around a bloody big lake
In full: I enjoyed this well organized run. Parking onsite was excellent and a fairly well organized day out. The weather was very warm so a PB did not happen. The site is fairly picturesque, but after running around the lake multiple times I was tempted to join the rowers. The only criticism was there way to few toilets. That said I will probably do it again

In short: Excellent sunny race but a bit congested
In full: My second running of bath half marathon and two things stand out from last year. This year it was subtropical where as last year it was pure brass monkey weather. Last year it was less congested in the first few miles where as this year it was rammed. I did not enjoy the near self inflicted orchidectomy I nearly suffered about mile three from a hidden cone. That said it was a wonderful day made by the bordering on the bonkers support from the locals who are the best crowd anywhere in the country for running. The organization is superb and everyone is friendly. Why people have iPods on for this race amazes me as there so many great things to see and music all over the place why shut your self off? I was slightly slower this year than last probably because of congestion at the start and will certainly be in my pen earlier next year(bladder allowing). Thanks bath and thanks to bath race course park and ride as well. I expect snow next year if the weather is anything to go on!

In short: lovely undulating race made for elastic band collectors
In full: First time doing this and and really enjoyed it. This is a gem of a race as there in virtually nothing in January. There was fair sized turnout of runners and everyone was friendly. We had a little warm walk to start, which avoided doing it the end,so we finished at the sports centre. The course comprised of 3 laps which were undulating with a few sharp short hills. Fairly windy out on the course and by the 3rd lap the hilly bits did get to you. The medal was lovely at the end. I would definetely do this next year and cannot understand why this is not more popular. A good course and well organised what more could you want

In short: unique race felt like a racing car in trainers
In full: well organised event.great parking and unique venue. Ok the scenery was a bit dull but it was a race track. If you want a PB this is a must, though the breeze and turning angles on the course could slow you a bit. I found the race friendly and it would be hard to fault it.Cheap to enter.Really good day out. Will certainly be back

In short: fast well organised marathon if you do one marathon or its your first then this is a must do race
In full: My fifth marathon today and what a day. This marathon has it all. Pre race communication and booklet excellent.
Parking at the course was great. The course is flat and fast in the first half. The last 8 miles are more undulating with a few hills, especially the hill at 24. The support of the crowds (who all knew your name due to your name being on your number)and the superb marshalls was positively uplifting. This event will soon be hard to get into. Who needs London when you have Chester. Will be back in 2012. Well done Chris and Andy

In short: tough race especially with thw ind around the lake
In full: First time at the Robin Hood and really enjoyed it. A very well organised race, great onsite parking at start, plenty of toilets, excellent water stations with water, lucozade and gels at most.
The first half is midly hilly, but boasts lovely scenery through park areas. The second lap was a total contrast. the lap was flatter than the first, but with very long stretches and run around the lake with wind was soul destroying at times. Full praise for all those who ran the full marathon it was tough out there!
