In short: Tough course, scenic, very well organised. Recommended
In full: Not an easy race by any stretch of the imagination. Undulates for the first 10 miles before a reasonably flat final 5k. Super organisation and marshals. Loads of spectators cheering in the park at the finish. I would definitely recommend this event.

In short: Excellent organisation and brilliant marshals but horrible double circuit
In full: The weather was dreadful. Heavy rain and blustery wind. Very good organisation. I only entered the race yesterday and when I arrived at 9:15 I walked straight to the registration desk and collected my nummber with no delay at all. If I am honest, the route is just awful. The municipal landscaping alongside the double-loop course is monotonous and bland. The marshals, however, were really first class braving the elements and offering enthusiastic encouragemnt. The route isn't easy. There are some lengthy inclines. I won;t come back here but I salute the organisers and the marshals for really doing a very good job in a not very inspiring location.

In short: Gorillas in pink compression socks
In full: This is a really nice marathon, beautifully unpretentious, vibey, serene, challenging event. Good organisation and well supported by the local community. Personally, I would to salute the gorilla in pink socks around half way. You were my marathon special moment.

In full: Very well organised, undulating race through some beautiful Lancashire countryside. Nice start on the high street in historic Garstang. Excellent workout prior to the Loch Ness marathon on Oct 4th. We even had +18 deg. I definitely recommend this race.
