In short: Great event and will be back In full: This was great, I was surprised that there were not more people racing and this probably detracted from the atmosphere slightly but I don't think people realise what they are missing. A fantastic course with wonderful scenery and magnificent views from the top. Parking was easy and overall great organisation. Date of review: October 12, 2010

In short: Challenging but enjoyable In full: Great course with a couple of challenging hills, I liked hearing the runners names being called out as we entered the finishing straight and it was an excellent goody bag. In short: My first Marathon and it was a wonderful experience - looking forward to next year! In full: Despite the aches and pains I had a great time. The course was excellent, mainly flat and with a variety of scenery, and the crowd support was fantastic. I've already entered next years race and can't wait to do it all over again! In short: Excellent HQ, great organisation, lots of encouragement at the water stations In full: I thought this was great, excellent location for the start finish with plenty of parking and easy to get away at the end. The marshals were very encouraging and coped well with the traffic. The water stations, particularly at 13 and 17 miles, could be heard from miles away! The bag at the end looked as though it was going to be disappointing but actually was a pleasant surprise with chocolate and other goodies – I always think this should be the easiest bit to get right but so many others have failed. Course was nice with a couple of gentle hills to keep it interesting – I would do this even if I wasn’t training for a marathon. Well done! Date of review: March 20, 2010

In short: Fantastic - despite the weather! In full: I was another one checking the website in the morning half hoping that the event would be cancelled but I am so glad it wasn't. The 1st time I have done this run and it was great, exceptionally well organised with a great race HQ where you could avoid the rain until the last minute. The volunteers and spectators round the course were very encouraging and deserve a big thank you for standing out in the rain all that time. It was nice to run a course where the roads were properly closed off and the goody bag at the end really was a 'goody bag'! See you next year. Date of review: March 5, 2010
