In short: Worth it for the scenery
In full: I'll be doing this again next year the scenery was fantastic. The race overall was well organised, and the spectators all around the course were so pleasant spurring you on.
The run up the orm is very hard so just bare that in mind if your a beginner. But managed to run all the way round in under 2 hours so very pleased.
2 minor points for next year:

1: Sort the t-shirt and medal giving part out, having to queue for 20mins when you've finished is not good on the limbs!
2: Sorry but the amount of dog poo down the paths was disgusting, maybe the council need to install more waste bins.

In short: Hot hot hot!!!
In full: Lovely setting, nice route, however this was a very hot day and there were alot of people stopping, most notably alot of club runners who looked like the heat got them. A few tastey little hills to overcome, particularly the one you go up 3 times! overall i enjoyed the race, however a PB can be forgotten about, and for a first time race runner i would probably recommend an alternate run.

In short: Dont do it for the views!!!!
In full: Ok race, the athletics stadium to start and finish was really good and the overall atmosphere was good. Potential for a PB very high, although i did'nt as i have just come back from an injury.
Couple of things to improve for next year:
- More toilets, not many, big long lines waiting
- Marshalls that speak!
- People running in at the end were forgotten about, and not alot of people who had finisehd the race realised there were still people running, myeslf included! marshals should have been shouting etc

Finally the scenery, or lack of, theres not much that can be done about this but maybe instead of looping the stadium go elsewhere and just do one biggr lap.

In short: Enjoyabe for a first time half marathon runner
In full: Just two very minor points that maybe could have been slightly better.
The start was over crowded and got a bit intense with people jostling, maybe put the bariiers much further back next year.
And the water stations, were not replenished quick enough had to wait twice for drinks.

Other thn that superb loved it!
