In short: All good clean dirty fun!
In full: I did this one last year and again I found it very enjoyable.Much muddier than last year, required a bit of concentration to negotiate through and around the many muddy sections, especially the ascents.

Excellent marshals, both friendly and encouraging.Although there was nothing intimidating for beginners about the event generally, the muddy trails could be a bit offputting for less experienced runners, unless they had a good sense of humour and/or a very cavilier attitude.

Regarding the earlier comment that the course description was misleading, I must come to Nice Work's defence, on their website and on the pre-race information it does indicate that the race is off road and run primarily in and around Hamstreet Woods.

Well done everyone! Maybe next year we can run it on a dry hard surface!

In short: I was here last year and it's agood one.
In full: Nice atmosphere start and finish.Very well marshalled throughout the course.Good to see a few improvements on last year:1. access to the school toilets instead of last year's portaloo set up.2: the transition point between road and off road clearly waymarked[last year I found it bit ambiguous and had to back track a bit],3:issue of water bottle on route, much better than those silly cups, with a bottle you can use it as you please throughout the race and 4: excellent goody bag, shop value of contents must be close to entry fee.A very enjoyable morning indeed, and I knocked well over a minute off of last years time.

In short: Lovely rural event. Well organised.
In full: My second go at this, as great as last year.Knocked over a minute off my finishing time.Notorious hill still takes it out of you!I entered online via RW, a little pre-race info may have been nice, either by e-mail or their facebook page, especially for first timers.Overall excellent,a big thank you for everybody involved.

In short: Popular 10 miler. A couple of serious hills, but generally quite a comfortable run.
In full: I've done this a number of times and its good one, and popular[nearly 900 finishers].A bit crowded at HQ, nearly a thousand people using a school sports hall and all runners needing to queue for their numbers and chips;still suitable facilities are hard to find.A good course,a bit bleak this time of the year with a hint of drizzle, two serious hills and some off road stretches.Would have been nice to have the medal indicate what event it was for and which year.Still a nice run, many thanks to Invicta for staging it.

In short: Very hard and very hot!
In full: When I entered this race I was expecting an autumnal jaunt to finish my race year off, hoping it wouldn't rain..... and yet I found myself in a very challenging race with temperaturs approaching 30c?.Seemed to be quite a few moderate hills generally climbing to about 7 mile and then a general descent, although there was still some more climbing to do.Not much shelter on the roads, it seemed quite exposed in the heat.Only two drinks stations, should have been more considering the forecast.Anyway, a big thank you to the S.Striders and all involved. Generally very well organized. It must be a hard job organising these events and we should be very grateful to every one who takes the trouble to put them on. So again, many thanks!

In short: Nice autumn race. Afew hilly bits. Well organized.
In full: I must praise the pre-race information.I entered quite early and with in days received my race pack complete with details of how to get there by both road and rail plus Ordnance Survey Map showing route, drinks stations and marshall points.I have a bit of a bee in my running cap over the late arrival of race numbers by otherwise excellent race organizers, they often arrive within days of the race causing anxiety to the entrant.Faversham 10k is exemplary in this respect.

In short: I did it last year and it was great. Even better this year with chip timing. Bit too warm for comfort this year so yes an extra drinks station would have be nice . Nice friendly atmosphere all round. Well done Martin and all his team.
