In short: great day but organisation is 50/50
In full: Dry but very windy day - made the stretch on the Barrage more interesting! Route is simple enough but exposed and surprisingly not that interesting. Lack of attentive stewards made it difficult for the fast race leaders. Hazardous underfoot in the last 800m to the finish line (due to uneven ramping and building works) so take care with your sprint finish. Not enough goody bags, it all went to the 2K fun run and most 5 mile runners missed out. Good to have chip timing, but race packs were sent out very late indeed (if at all). No mention in advance of the bag collection point. The route is shared with other users so you may have to dodge bank holiday strollers, kids & dogs. This all said, it is a very well supported race and all the top club runners are there. Good atmosphere. Take your wallet to enjoy restaurants, bars, pubs, local attractions etc afterwards. And finally ---- the prize for winning team was money-off voucher for one pair of running shoes, hardly appropriate!

In short: brilliant half marathon not to be missed
In full: PB potential for advanced runners, challenging for all levels but achievable. Organisation and marshalling was amazingly good. Excellent atmosphere, great local support, lots of facilities on the start/finish field. This is a race not to be missed! Note though that the route is mostly off-road and can be stony/rough under foot, and some steep but short hill climbs.

In short: challenging 10K for all abilities in glorious scenery
In full: Excellent race in glorious scenery, although it is hilly it is suitable challenge for all levels of ability. PB potential for advanced runners. Major downside is disorganisation of car parking, especially when leaving after the race. Be warned, it can take up to 2 hours delay to leave the car parking areas due to backlogs and traffic jams. Organisers could do better!

In short: fantastic scenic 10k for all levels, not to be missed
In full: Undulating course suitable for all levels, and PB potential for more experienced runners. Scenic 10k road race from the magnificent St Donats. Meet up before and after in the Arts Centre, enjoy the beach and fantastic views as well as enjoying running the race.

In short: Scenic hilly challenge
In full: All hills, nothing on the flat, spectacular scenery. Good challenge race though. Oct 2010 race spoilt by disorganised confusing end - last miles dodging strolling visitors in Tenby and having to run up and down steps, over cobbles and round bandstand. Plus you have to cross two finishing lines, not one. For half marathon runners there is a fair amount of hanging around before the race at Pembroke Castle.

In short: Excellent race for all abilities, great for PB
In full: Flat with slight undulation, good for PBs and for all level of running ability. Coastal path means great scenery but prepare for strong winds and a cold start (9am). Well organised with helpful, friendly stewards.
