In short: Absolutely fantastic!
In full: I ran the full marathon last year and, as I had enjoyed the whole atmosphere so much then, I returned this year to do it all again but, this time, just the half-marathon. Everything was just perfect, yet again: The marshals, the route, the organisation, the lovely medal and technical-t-shirt, my excellent shield - you name it this event has got it all! Well worth the trip, from wherever you live, you won't be disappointed. A perfect PB course, fast and scenic if you find the time to look at the scenery!! All going well, I shall return in 2013. Can't wait!

In short: Absolutely fantastic!
In full: Well worth the trip to Nottingham. Lots of crowd support, a reasonably flat course, great organisation, lovely race village with lots to do and buy, and a super medal to all finishers. The race t-shirt which could be bought was of great quality. All in all - a super half-marathon.

In short: A super 10K!
In full: My very first time at this event. The 10K route was very scenic, slightly undulating with a very fast last 1K. Everyone was very friendly, the home-made cakes superb and we got a lovely medal at the end. All going well, will most definitely return next year, to try out their half-marathon.

In short: SUPERB!
In full: What a super event! On one of the hottest days of the year, the organisers put on extra drinks stations which were very much appreciated by everyone. Plenty of very friendly marshals everywhere. Very quick results and presentation of prizes. A superb medal at the finish. We were also able to purchase either a cotton or tech t-shirt which were of a very nice design. All in all - a great event which I can highly recommend. Book early as it was completely sold out!

In short: Superb, in every way!
In full: First time at this lovely event. Everything was absolutely super: Very friendly & encouraging marshals, a very scenic and slightly undulating course, very fast race result, and some very yummy cakes as well!! I will most certainly return in the future. A BIG well-done to Ryston Runners! P.S. Don't really like Ale though!!

In short: SUPERB, in every way!
In full: What a brilliant way to celebrate a 25th anniversary! And, and what a truly wonderful atmosphere, course (PB potential), supporting & encouraging marshalls, technical t-shirt, chip-timing, medals for the fun runners, yummy cakes, quick results - this race had it all! One can only hope that it will return next year, hopefully not with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius!!
A BIG WELL DONE!

In short: Very scenic, with enough challenges, something for everyone.
In full: First Grimsthorpe for me. Scenic and undulating, with 'plenty to do'. Should have left the trail shoes at home but, instead, run in my road running shoes. The only let-down was that there was no finish clock, neither were there any race results, so still have no idea re placings and official finish time.
