In short: Congested. Pricey. Shambolic.
In full: Can't say much more. As an Edinburger it pains me to say that Glasgow's miles better!

In short: Bit steep. Both cost and terrain.
In full: not as crowded as I feared. But was disappointed that it was not the precise 5K as advertised but 5.2K - more difficult to measure against other races. And the lack of a medal was disappointing. To be honest I am not quite sure what my £17 went towards (apart from a cheapish longsleeved tee). You don't need a waterstation on a 5K but it would have been nice at the top of that mega climb and in my mind it would have justified some of that fee.

In short: It's my home race so I'll do it again, not sure I'd travel.
In full: Start and finish were shambolic. No official "start" banner, you just walked over the mat, then clock set to 000 at the end. Very congested in places and far too many groups of four or six running in a line - always slowly and always further forward than their pace merited. If they were to follow Glasgow's example and do a pulse start, that would help immensely. Still, was scenic enough and at least I got my caramel wafer unlike in my Glasgow goodie bag!

In short: scenery ranges from Edinburgh Castle to dingy Cowgate- but generally excellent
