In short: A good cause but as a race could do better
In full: Slightly shambolic start, alongside runners queuing for loos, despite the welcome chip timing; great route if you like running around in circles. Organisers claim that police advise all major runs not to have baggage facilities on safety grounds. Not that safe to freeze in running kit on a February morning.

In short: One of the best running events anywhere
In full: Probably the only place on the planet where Charles and Diana's nuptials are still celebrates - a fantastic event, wonderful atmosphere all supervised by "Father Onn" - a man of the cloth who mixes a dog collar with running shorts, sandals and stripey socks.

In short: Great run, awful weather, poor quality free T-shirt
In full: A great route, a well-organised race; poor quality free T-shirt - first wash, lettering fell off; first wearing left me with sawn-off nipples after a six-mile run. Asics should be embarrassed by the shirt that carries their name (at least it did pre-wash)

In short: Good, but could be even better
In full: A great event, with fantastic marshalls, but....I lined up under my scheduled finish time but the start was so congested it took me a minute and a half to cross the start line - and the lack of chip to chip timing means inaccurate finish times.

In short: A good run let down by chaotic organisation at start and finish
In full: A nice route, with well-meaning, hard-working volunteers but chaos at start and finish. Not enough toilets. Great finish in castle - except narrow entrance deprived friends of chance to see runners. 1st prize winner wasn't allowed in through narrow gate to attend first presentation.
