In short: Flat, fast run in warm and sunny weather through meadows with buttercups all around. No. Not really.
In full: When the smiling marshall pulled my tortured body from the chest high mud in the umpteenth bog of the run i knew my pb was safe....

In short: A romp in the dark. Load up on carrots and bring a big sense of humor.
In full: A great little race. 400 folks in identical skeleton tees with headlights on careering round the Reading countryside, stumbling in ditches and rambling through nettles. Boy did I get stung. And at the finish, when you finally found it, a mug as a momento. Chip timing as well. Not a hope of a PB but for novelty value ten out of ten.

In short: Flat fast well organised race
In full: Well organised trot through the woods, lots of space and very easy running. Great marshalling and friendly crowds. Could have done with some bottled water at the end but eight cups of squash did the job just as well.

In short: Fantastic back to basics event. Stunning scenery and a real challenge.
In full: Three reasons you SHOULDNT carry a cellphone on this run. 1. After the first hill you'll want to use it to call a mate to pick you up and get you out of the race. 2. If you dont call a mate then after the second hill you'll want to use it to call an ambulance. 3. And if you dont call the ambulance, on the last descent you'll fall on your butt and break the phone. Magnificent event.
