In short: well done mablethorpe marathon organisers
In full: I do one different marathon each year and the organisation of this marathon compared with that at last year's Blackpool marathon was far far superior. This much smaller seaside resort demonstrated great community spirit in promoting and taking ownership of this marathon, which when all is said and done is one of Britain's smaller marathon events. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a weekend away with the family and to run a well-organised marathon. I agree with the comments about having to dodge oblivious holiday makers and not being sure where to go next on the prom - whilst on the verge of exhaustion - and would prefer not to have to run past the finish half a mile before coming back to it to cross the finish line.

In short: One to be proud of finishing
In full: Yes it was tough. Couldn't even enjoy the downhills - either steps or backache-inducing steep slopes. Fantastic but for me a once in a lifetime experience.

In short: A good family weekend
In full: Thanks for all the effort you put into the race. We had a great weekend in Lincs. Did the Lincoln tourist bit Saturday then onto the race Sunday morning which for a someone with a love of history was made special by the setting. Trying to get back into running again after losing fitness over the last few months and the race was probably a bit overambitious for the moment. Didn't enjoy the last 3 - but still managed a sprint finish which my boys insist on! Great that there was a fun run for them - it always makes it easier for me to convince them to come with me to a run. To cap a good weeken, got back in time to watch Chelsea win the Carling Cup.
One suggestion for next year - please fill the water cups - half a cup every three or four miles only just wets the lips.

In short: It broke me good and proper!
In full: This race tricks you if you are not careful as I wasn't! thought I was going along nicely - then the hills had their revenge. I recommend the race but expect it to be tough. Personally, I'm going to steer clear - at least for a year!!

In short: makes for a good weekend break
In full: really scenic around Edinburgh and down to the coast, but then depressingly dull and shadowy back from Leith to the city. centre
