In short: nice one! In full: not done this race for 11 years and remembered why after the 3 mile climb! cracking race, lovely countryside and well organised. i will however comment that had the weather been hot, as we would expect in july, then cups of water would be inadequate, please consider bottled for next year.
the course is a great mix of flat, up, down, road, trscks and grass. probably one of my all time favourites.
well done to all involved in the organisation, and i really enjoyed the rain!! Date of review: July 16, 2011

In short: well done Doncaster on a great well marshalled race. In full: was it just wishful thinking, but my and another athletes garmins showed the race distance as 3.27!! thoroughly enjoyable race, giving excellent value for money. good crowd support on the short uphill section. bottled water and a good t shirt thrown in for the entry fee. see you in 2012. In short: well organised race, lots of marshalls in the right places, good t shirt and medal In full: well done to the organisers for their tremendous efforts. whilst not detracting from what was a great event in very hot conditions, I do not feel that the provision of water is as it should be. the forecast for a few days prior to the race was for about 28 degress, which it easily reached. with this information, whilst it was good to see 6 well staffed water stations, a few millilitres of water in a plastic cup was wofelly inadequate. dehydration and heat exhaustion soon kicks in with these temperatures and each water station should have provided the athletes with bottled water, as indeed they did at the end. Please get it right for 2012 and advertise the water provision.
That aside it was a very well organised event with lots of camarardary on the way with runners encouraging each other in the heat. Date of review: June 26, 2011

In short: lovely setting good value form money, why no water station? In full: 2 lap course through wollaton park, plenty of crown support at the end. i thought thisw was good value for money, i would however urge the organisers to ensure that one water station be in place around the half way mark. it was nearly 20 degrees and possibly the first time most runners had run in any heat this year. other than that it was a well organised race, well marshalled giving good value for money Date of review: April 25, 2011

In short: nice trail and park surroundings, far far too expensive In full: lovely setting on trails around the lake. this race certainly did not give value for money. a non event specific medal and three paper cups of water! AND it cost an additional £3 to park the car. it just smacked of the event organisers trying to make as much money for very little in return. i will not be coming back to do any events organised by this company.
