In short: Brilliant. Wonderful route round the cwm.
In full: Second year I have run it. 2010 was zero visibility in the mist. Great views this year. Terrific race, a great experience that makes all the training worthwhile.

In short: Excellent, a classic fell race. Straight up and down.
In full: 3 time run, best time by 5 seconds. Descending or controlled falling is the key.

In short: Excellent relay.
In full: A proper pass the baton relay, so you cannot let the rest of your team down by losing a place!
3 legs flat and PB potential, last leg has a big hill and then also flat.

In short: Excellent race. A very warm afternoon. Amazing views.
In full: Weather was 100% on Saturday. Not really hot, but still great for spectators.
This is a race that gives the excuse to visit the coast for the weekend. Very dry underfoot gave perfect running conditions. Look forward to doing it again next year.

In short: Excellent race. Great location and organisation.
In full: Undulating, but the long steady downhills compensate for the ups. Lovely evening run on very quiet roads. Well marked. Deserves to be a classic 10K.

In short: Excellent. Great introduction to fell races
In full: This is a great summer evening race. Course is steep, but not excessively so when compared to other fell races, so good for those who want to try one for the first time. Great organisation. No frills required. Thanks Weston AC.

In short: Very, very hilly and very hot.
In full: Wonderfully organised race. Great place to run, although the last 6 miles along the main road were a bit unpleasant with cars coming past when you are feeling exhausted.
I had done loads of training in the previous 7 months since I entered, but the hills of the first half caught up with me and I hit the wall at 20 miles (Widecombe) and then got steadily worse!
I was very envious of those who were still running steadily around the 30 mile mark, my legs were cramping after 50 yards of running.

In short: A brilliant day out. Wonderful views, but a very tough second half.
In full: A race like this is a reason to run. Vies in the first half of the mist shrouded cliffs of the second half were terrific. Second half is very tough. I knew this and left plenty in reserve, which paid off. The hills of the second half are best walked up and run down.

In short: Good race. Low key as January only attracts the hard core!
In full: I had read criticism on the forum of the lack of communication before the race. This was unfounded. It was well organised. The undulating course gets hillier as the laps progress. I think the only reason why this race is not more popular is that you have to train in the winter and when do you get a nice January day!

In short: The ice and the new route made it a testing trail race.
In full: Well done to the organisers for going ahead with the race. It was icy and slippery. The new route took in more tracks than the first running last year. With the conditions not a race for beginners.Organisation was good. Plenty of marshalls around, which was reassuring if you slipped.
One improvement is to have some mile markers, even if only 5 and 10 miles.
A friend with a garmin said it was 12.7 miles.
