In short: Nice enough ay to spend a morning.
In full: No major gripes. I'd echo the earlier points about the path being narrow at times, and the area wherever the corporate relay types were around was usually congested but plenty of water and the coppers and marshalls were all good.

Definitely concur with the earlier point about the top totty. Ladies of Leeds take a bow.

In short: A decent enough event - will do it next year
In full: No major problems for me.

Sure, the start is congested, the scenery dull and the finish even more congested (and 'policed' by at least one continually rude marshall)but these aren't factors likely to seriously ruin anyone's day.

The course is pretty flat, there's a good 'big event' feel to it, it welcomes all standards, theres plenty of support and it helps a good cause.

I'll certainly do it again next year.

In short: High hills and a bad case of wind
In full: Far more hilly than I'd have imagined and this wasn't helped by very strong winds. They combined to make this a prety tough 10 miler.

That said, it was a good challenge, excellent scenery, well organised.

Special mention to the girls on the second water station. If they kept up that level of enthusiasm and encouragemnt the whole time they'll be more tired than us runners!

In short: Definitely reccomended
In full: Good race, well organised before, during and after the event (ignoring the minor start problems).

Yes, it was a little on the warm side but not alot can be done about that!

Interesting enough route and plenty of support all the way round.

In short: Excellent race
In full: Well organised, well marshalled, plenty of encouragement along the way and espescially at the finish.

Course itself was attractive and varied - the undulations kept it interesting and the hills at the end provide a great final hurdle.

The paths were generally very good but might be worth wearing trail shoes if there has been any heavy rain as a couple of patches were pretty muddy and churned up.

In short: Very enjoyable morning
In full: Excellent race. The hills made it challenging enough without being impossible. The organisation was very good, the HQ at the leisure centre had everything needed, loads of parking.
Excellent support from marshalls and spectators.

In short: A pleasant way to spend the morning
In full: Pluses - the weather was cool, the route pleasant, the long sleeved top a nice touch, good showers and marshalls all excellent.

Negatives - the 30 minute queue to use the one servicible gents toilet that nearly made me miss the start, but thats about it.

Will certainly do it again.

In short: Nice enough run - shame about the weather
In full: The pluses:

Pleasant enough route with not too much on the road - would be very scenic on a clearer drier day. Very well organised pre race and not too bad during the race (though a few more marshalls would have been nice). Very nice goody bag with a good quality t-shirt, box of cadburys fingers, couple of bars, 2 teabags(!), crisps, water. Friendly bunch running it and a good mix of abilities. Seemed popular with 6th form girls ;o)

The negatives: The weather really didn't help (but not alot anyone could do about that)as it killed of the spectators to zero (aside from a vocal few at the end); made some of the hills fairly treacherous with the mud so you pretty much had to walk at times. Not a PB course - too many stiles and too undulating but more interesting as a result. Might have been good to seperate walkers and runners at the start.

Overall, for a first event not bad at all.

In short: Hot! Hot! Hot!
In full: My first ten miler.

The heat today made it tough and the steady hills felt more challenging as a result but overall very enjoyable and extremely well organised. The marshalls were superb.
