In short: A few minor problems but otherwise a good race In full: A decent course to run after having a few problems in agreeing it. Another delay at the start which really shouldn't be happening and I think the baggage reclaiming could have been organised better. Had to wait 15 minutes while they found my bag - becuase I couldn't see it from my side of the fence. Otherwise a nice run and good training for London. Date of review: March 2, 2008

In short: A crowded start and the roads were a bit narrow in the first 5 or so miles until the runners spread out, but what a way to finish a race. You will not get a better finish line anywhere in Britain. Great medal and a race well worth doing. In full: This is a race which is now growing in size. Almost 7500 ran the the half marathon and about 2000 the marathon. There is scope here for one of the major companies to turn this into a big event. So come on Asics, Adidas et al, have a look at this race and see what you are missing. The finsih at one of the most famous sporting venues in the world makes this an event not to be missed. In short: Nice flat course, excellent if you want a PB (which i got). Only downside is running through an industrial park, but the country lanes away from that make a lovely run. Nice change from a Sunday morning training session. Date of review: February 19, 2006
