In short: The great atmosphere makes a great course all the more enjoyable
In full: I missed one of these last year despite being entered as it clashed with another race and now I know what I was missing out on. I can't praise this highly enough - smiling marshals despite the cold, great organisation (even the little touch of the bloke giving me my chip reading and using my name was much appreciated) a friendly group of people gathered at the start line, and a great course that doesn't let up with a consistent up and down nature (I've read the talk that this is the 'easy' one of the three with some trepidation!) to give you a real feeling of achievement. This one's for everyone - a good challenge no matter what your level, and no shame in walking up those hills if you're worried! Superb, can't wait till the next (though my muscles are happy there's a few weeks to go).

In short: Undulating, well marshalled and a pleasure
In full: An excellent race. Needed lots of marshals for all the twists and turns and had them - thanks to them all for standing out in the cold, a great turnout. The course is playful, but some good downhills to get the legs turning over and I can't complain at a pb. Minor issues with the start - lots of us not quite sure where it was, needing a last-minute shuffle around - and the 5 mile-marker seemed a couple of hundred metres too far on, but this is a good, friendly, well-organised race and pretty scenic once you've dealt with the urbanised switchbacks at the start.

In short: Good race, shame about that locked gate at the start and the quagmire at the finish
In full: Enjoyed it, definitely a quick course. I hope the crowds that flooded past me from miles 4-6 were quick runners who'd been delayed at the start; an awful lot of them. Good organisation, good clear PA system a real boon and, on balance, we were fairly lucky with the weather.

In short: Good marathon preparation, smiley marshalls
In full: The laps were helpful, and it's a good, challenging but fair course. The last mile seemed longer than the others, which caught me out at the end - thought I'd pushed on, suddenly I did a slower mile. Marshalls were excellent - especially the garage-grinners and the bloke with the guitar.

In short: Great weather, fabulous organisation, thanks
In full: Pre race I'd heard much talk of the wind that would be whipping across the downs but in the end it was chilly but with some sunshine to raise the spirits. Can't say I exactly enjoyed it but haven't raced 10 miles for a couple of years so took 3 minutes off my pb to garnish the feeling of achievement at the end.

In short: Bambi on ice without spikes, have never giggled in the middle of a race before
In full: Thoroughly enjoyable - for next time I'll be less tight and will get some spikes, but it wasn't impassable in flats, just a bit dicey in places. Some good uphill sections and great variety of terrain. Special thanks to the Herne Hill Harriers who were so welcoming at the start.

In short: Undulations were straightforward - the first time round
In full: Great run, extremely well marshalled, and the bloke on the tannoy was doing his best to enthuse everyone at the finish. Undulating it certainly is, and they hurt the second time around but I sneaked a pb by a minute so I can't complain.
