In short: Very pleasant atmosphere. Challenging enough course.
In full: Given the lack of pre-race publicity this was a surprsingly pleasant event. The 2-lap course is interesting enough, mostly flattish but with enough inclines to be a challenge (but watch the tree roots if you are a fast runner). Could do with a different date if they want more entries (clashed with Moors Valley and Race for Life).

In short: Lovely low-key but friendly race, challenging enough and very scenic in places - highly recommended.
In full: Grear value this year - a tee-shirt and a good medal. Course is lovely, scenic country rounds, hardly any traffic, enough little hills to make it challenging in places. A very pleasant, well-organised race.

In short: Great race for all standards. Welcome addition to the racing calendar.
In full: Something for everybody - Very quick at the front with good prize money, but plenty of unattached and first-timers. Good tee-shirt AND a medal at the end (plus bottle of water and ceral bar). I am sure the entries will increase next year when word gets round.

In short: Lovely scenic course, but enough hills to make it challenging.
In full: One of my favourites. Nice and scenic, lovely mix of hills, good value for money with Mars bar, Hot drink, Soup and Hot Dogs at the end.

In short: Lovely low-key but friendly race, challenging enough and very scenic in places - highly recommended.
In full: Have done the 10K a few times, but first time I had been able to do the 10 miler, and was not disappointed. The course challenging enough (somewhere between undulating and hilly) but not too daunting for the less adventurous, also very scenic in places, especially between around 4 and 6 miles (which co-incides with getting the worst of the hills out of the way at around 4 ish). Chatted with some lovely friendly local ladies on the way round - in all a very pleasant morning out.

In short: Getting better each year
In full: My fourth year in a row, shall be back next year. The wave starts introduced last year were a graet improvement, and the new route helped the parking making leaving afterwards much better than previosu years. Still think more toilets are needed ! Great race overall, great friendly atmosphere for runners (and walkers) of all standards. Best race outside of FLM I think.

In short: Too hot - strat time too late for time of year.
In full: This is the second time I have done this race and the last unless the date or the start time changes. It would be a lovely course on a cooler day, the marshals are friendly and the organisation good, but why is the start time so unusual - the hottest time of day at the hottest time of year ?

In short: One of my favourites - well-organised, friendly marshalls, challenging course, good tee-shirt
