In short: Excellent race in bad weather - well done marshalls!!!
In full: Challenging but enjoyable run despite the weather. Potentially some nice scenery if the sun shines! Marshalls and spectators very encouraging. Excellent t-shirt and medal. Well done TW Harriers.

In short: Good training run for a spring marathon.
In full: Now run this event several years. Always popular and always has critics for the start. Yes it's narrow - but after a few hundred yards it's fine. Pre start cold and rain didn't help matters re baggage tent delays. Overall a well managed and marshalled race at a time of year when weather is usually awful. The inclines over the motorways in the first 3 miles and last three miles always seem harder than they are - but I'll be back!!

In short: Excellent half marathon
In full: Good weather, great course - undulating with some nice "downs" and only one long (half mile)slog just after half way. PB potential. Well organised - buses worked well - keep for future if it means avoiding a muddy car park!! Well marshalled by encouraging marshalls. Good rugby shirt memento - makes a change from a T-shirt! One niggle - please send out chips. Will be back - good last half for the year.

0 Windsor Half Marathon
Would you do it again?

Maybe

Details:

In short: Addition to previous note.
In full: I am sure exiting car park would be a problem in any event. However a "bump" involving two cars travelling towards Windsor, on the road just outside the red exit (Yes red and yellow were the same car park but different exits/entrances) meant the police had to direct north and south bound traffic on the road as well as from the race exit around the accident. The southbound traffic build up would have affected the yellow exit traffic.

In short: Well organised, traffic free.
In full: Very good event. Well organised on closed roads. Undulating not really a PB course. Well supported although a few areas were quiet. Only minor grip: Excellent medical cover - but I felt medics should have been spread around the course rather than at one or two stations. Many of the marshal youngsters in uniform (ACF?) were great, cheering and "marking" any casualties. To everyone: job well done on a very warm day.

In short: Unique course - excellently organised
In full: A unique course and excellently organised. Weather conditions can be dramatic - but 4 miles into a head wind was balanced by a similar distance with the wind behind - (even though it was the first few miles). Well done and a big THANK YOU to all organisers and helpers - job very well done!!!
