In short: A fine event all round
In full: Well organised race with a real sense of occasion (car boot sale, giant beer and food tent), a very scenic course (a few nasty hills as well), great support at the finish, church bells, the list is endless. I'll definitely be back next year.

In short: Worth it just for the t - shirt
In full: Very glad I did this, the right distance at the right time (before London).
The t-shirt from this race is the best ever - nice design, no ads, something I will be proud to wear.
Great parking facilities, altho I felt like I had nearly done 20 miles walking to and from the car park to HQ & start etc.
Its the 3rd race on the course this year which might explain the organisers concerns about the residents.
If all the marshalling points had a bin (and runners were told this), there might be less need for people to chuck their bottles and gel wrappers by the roadside or into fields.
Looking forward to next time!

In short: Pretty good - helped by the weather
In full: My first marathon! Very good atmosphere amongst racers.
Facilities a bit thin at the race hq, almost missed the start as it was so far from the car park - not sure why.
One out and back would definitely have been enough as well - or might as well have started at the pub and done one going south first, then the one out to the canal.
The glass was a great prize - but it took some finding!!
Overall well done to the organizers, I'd do it again.

In short: A well organised race on a good course
In full: Very good all round - everybody seemed very happy to be out on such a nice day. New course works fine although the finish was very cramped and the way back to the changing area wasn't obvious.
Looking forward to the marathon!!!

In short: Perfect day made for a memorable race.
In full: Excellent conditions, seemed to be less traffic than some years, good atmosphere at the finish.
The demise of the free t shirt is very sad. Is this a money saving issue? I have almost enough medals to justify a trip to the local scrap dealer.

In short: Sublime
In full: After doing a couple of horribly trafficky races (IOW 1/2m and Beacon 10k) this was the perfect antidote.
Half marathon at Westonbirt as well please!!!

In short: A good race but with problems
In full: A flattish 10k on rural and suburban roads, made dangerous by people ignoring instructions to keep left and weaving across the narrow country lanes to save a few metres on bends. Numerous blind corners make this course treacherous enough without people running on both sides (and the middle )of the road simultaneously.
Otherwise it is well marshalled and a great atmosphere at the pub afterwards.

In short: Dire traffic stops this being a classic
In full: This is an odd race.Surely there is somewhere on IOW with less traffic to run? Watching out for cars rendered much of the scenic aspect of the course redundant.
Great marshalling and good water/sponge stations.

In short: A great race for all levels
In full: This is a fast course through country lanes with no unpleasant sections.
The facilities were excellent, plenty of toilets, showers, baggage storage and parking.
I would recommend it to anyone, it was a pleasure to have been part of such a well organised event.
