In short: Great race shame about the heat.

In short: Really enjoyable race.
In full: The course is nowhere near as tough as I'd been lead to believe, undulating yes but no real ups or downs to speak of really nice route. The wind wasn't a real issue either. Can't fault the race. Recommend it to anyone.

In short: good race!
In full: Second race on my comeback, I'm far from being in racing form but a race is a better workout than anything I'd do on my own.
The course took it's toll again on mile 4, you can't really call it a hill but it doesn't half slow me down. All in all a prefectly good race, ticks all the boxes, I'd do it again.

In short: great race.
In full: The course is undulating but not too bad, not strictly a pb course, but I managed to run one today, 2:55:55.
Organisation was good and support/marshalling was excellent. Can't think of anything negative to say.
And the weather was good this year as well.

In short: great race.
In full: Very well organised race, good atmosphere, the course is nice, plenty of marshall support, one little hill near the end, but that wasn't too bad (or I'm getting better at running up them).
I'd recommend this race to anyone!

In short: PB course!
In full: Definately a fast course you can't really get flatter. Even with a 9:30 start it was still hot! Organisation was good. Results up very quickly. No bad points in my eyes.

In short: Good race, nice course, well organised.
In full: Excellent organisation, good atmosphere, smashing race.

The course is nice but does have a few gates and bollards to negotiate and the path on the north of the river doesn't have the best of surfaces to run on, but is ok! The hills aren't bad but they are enough to take the edge off your pace, don't get me wrong it's not a hard course by any stretch of the imagination and you could PB on it if you are not running at your absolute limit, I was 11 seconds short of mine but my legs were too tired from a very hard week and I died from 5 miles on.

the route as I remember it.

In short: Cracking race, a good tester!
In full: I'd heard about the hill and was a bit nervous, I jogged up to the start of it during my warm up and thought "it's not that bad"....but then I never went up it and round the switchbacks, that's where it gets tough. Weather was spot on , the organisers did well to sort that out...plus just about every other aspect of the race was well done as well. Definatley recommend it for a good challenge. I ran my socks off and thoroughly enjoyed it,

In short: fast course makes for good race.
In full: maybe a few too many tight corners to be a true pb course and the grass finish cost me a few seconds, it still is a nice fast course, and a nice mug and goody bag at the end.

deffo recommend this race.
