In short: Great race from entry form through to prize giving. Everyone should do at least one of the Trail Series.
In full: The only down side (apart form the humidity & heat) was the toe rags who decided it would be fun to nick the entire contents of the 1st water station & remove the early km markers. The team still managed to get some water there, with runners sharing bottles & leaving them on the side of the path for others to partake of. Great spirit. Great race.

In short: Beautiful day, terrific organisation, great atmosphere. The only downside was I had a bad race.
In full: Undulating is probably stretching the truth with this one, two or three steepish climbs as well as plenty of up & downs. The first half of the race has beautiful scenery, thats not to say the 2nd half is dull, just more traffic on the road and a little more built up towards the end.

Organisation wise everything went like clockwork, from the registration & feed stations (well placed, every 4 miles or so) to the finish and refreshments on offer.

Looking forward to next year.

In short: Up to the usual high standards. Nice friendly race and they allow number swapping as long as you let them know.
In full: This is a really good race for a road race. Mainly on nice back water types of roads, through some nice vilages and the organisation is first class.

The only negative I can think of is that I wouldnt want to be stuck in the traffic queue at the end. The police were moving it along but I think some people would have a long wait.

In short: A nice friendly challenging race.
In full: I gave this a bad review last year but on reflection it was more down to me having a bad race and my expectation being more used to bigger races.

This is a low key but well organised event. The terrain was a good mix of different types of, off road conditions. (Ok there were a few small stretches of road)

It was great to see the food/drink on sale after the race at a very reasonable price.

Marshals were top notch. (Especially jelly baby marshal)

In short: Roll on next year, I cant wait
In full: Great event & great series.

Top notch organisation, brilliant settings, stunning scenery. Cant give it enough praise. Well recommended if you like your running hilly & tough and if you dont enter the Challenge or the Nordic Walk. Something for everyone.

In short: Not impresses by the lack of toilets, starting pens and some stewards at the start. Still too many people walking after 1-2 miles who should be starting further back. Atmosphere OK. Organisation along the way and at the finish excellent
In full: 2nd GNR after an 18yr gap. Had a bad run but cant put my finger on a specific reason, just think the combination of many factors made it so.
Biggest gripe; lack of toilets at the start only saw 5 portaloos with massive queue's. Did I miss something here. Next moan; trying to get access to my pen. (green) Was told by jobs worth that he had reached his alotted numbers, despite the fact that 20 yds back there was massive gaps. Was sent further back and then sneaked into a very crowded area. Not ideal preparation.
Plusses; Medics and marshalls a plenty along the way. Lots of water at water stations & plenty of people handing out. (minny gripe, not water at the Lucozade stations) Loved the water showers, they were needed. At the end well organised, wide open spaces so no conjestion.
More of an event than a race unless your an elite or way near the front.

In short: Dull course, Well Marshalled, PB potential
In full: Multilap; 2 short, 2 long. Very flat. On the road circling the park then cutting through the park on each lap. Start & finish at the track.

Very humid conditions and the water station was very busy trying to cope.

Well organised race but not high on my list for doing in the future. Although it has a high pb potential.
