In short: Superb from start to finish
In full: What can you say about this race? It's stunning scenary, well organised, hard but doable, friendly marshalls and cake. Maybe a couple of extra loos as we couldn't use the centre but other than that, perfect.

In short: Fabulous trail run well organised
In full: This was the second of the Endurancelife Coastal Trail runs I've done after the North Devon event in 2008. This was superb in every way. Stunning scenary, well organsied, great t-shirt and medal, free meal and very friendly helpful people. I'm not a hardcore outdoors fellrunner type but was made to feel right at home. Can't wait to do another.

In short: Excellent, challenging cross country event
In full: A fabulous little cross country run set in woods off the A3 near Petersfield. Really well organised with plenty of water and clear markings around the 13 mile route. A great way to start the year (next year make it 13.1 as it looks better as a half marathon :-) Thanks all.

In short: A pretty good race and worth doing
In full: Well organised race with some nice scenery and a good value race. A few too many roads and a little dangerous with lots of idiot drivers speeding to get around runners. Same pen as last year which was a shame.

In short: Flat, fast and friendly
In full: I good course, really well organised, loads of friendly marshals, lots of water stations and a great medal. If you need loads of supporters, this way not be for you but those on the road side were very vocal. Only problem with the course was coming through the centre of town at about mile 23 or 24. There were roadworks and lots of cars and we had to squeeze past then dash across a road near cross motorists. And I was in no shape to "dash" after 24 miles.

In short: Great new race on the calendar
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Some people have put a lot of effort to make this new race such a success. The route was really good and well thought out and the organisation first rate. The goody bag was good as well. Top stuff. Thank you all.

I wish I'd worn my cross country shoes as it was very muddy in places.

In short: Lovely course along the Thames
In full: In spite of the blistering heat, I really enjoyed this point to point race along the Thames. The route was from Marlow to Windsor mostly along the tow path so very flat. The organisation was great from friendly marshals to an extremely nice "bag man". There was plenty of water and the bus journey to the start was very good.

One thing I was surprised about was the number of boat people and people who lived adjacent to the tow path who seemed slightly annoyed at our presence. Many really didn't want to move slightly to let us pass, I got tutted at for dropping a water bottle 30 meters from a water station and I heard a man complaining at the number of bottles outside his house. This was also within sight of a water station and a marshal was obviously walking back and forth picking them up. Thankfully, there were pockets of happy people cheering us on. Thanks.

Thanks to all at Purple Patch for a great race. I'll be back for the Grand Union Canal Half.

In short: Great little race
In full: I was pleasantly surprised by this race. A friend said I should come along and give it a go and dispite it being an unusual distance, it was great. Other than the small gate right at the beginning which caused a minor hold up (why not start the race in the field), it was really well organised with great marshalls and a groovy polo style medal.

In short: Great route with a few hicups.
In full: I mostly enjoyed this race. It was well organised with good runs for the kids before the parents went off on the 10k. Is a mostly scenic course with some lovely meadows and woods to run through. Good marshalls with plenty of water. A challenging course with some small hills.

The problems lie in the course. I had too walk 4 times which isn't great. Two narrow points - one leaving the main field and one after the wood where you had to squeeze through some posts. The other two were crossing main roads where the police were bloking the traffic but not when I ran through. I had about a minute wait each time. I was trying to help a friend get a PB and get under the hour mark and the waits could have been really annoying. As it happened, he got his PB so all was well.

If you treat this race as one to run and enjoy rather than go for a time, its good.
