In short: Excellent organisation again lovely festive atmosphere
In full: Thanks to all the marshalls and organisers for turning out on a very windy day. Can't fault the race always a good display of christmas fancy dress. The weather this year contributed to me being six minutes slower than the PB I set here last year-but I can't blame the organisers for that.Still an end of term party atmosphere in spite of the gales.

In short: Usual big city race problems
In full: The route itself is a good flat run around Cardiffs best bits so top marks for that.
Please don't up the number of runners though because it was congested all the way around.
Usual problems for a race of this size, not enough toilets,a crush of people in the city hall at baggage drop off. Also along with many others a 45 minute wait to exit the castle to go and collect my bag and get something warm on.This for me was the worst aspect it's not a lot of fun after giving your all for 13 miles.
Respectable goody bag, just eaten the yummy soup!.I think some of the problems are inevitable if you enter a race with this number of people(Next year I'll do Swindon which is on the same day only about 1500 people and a nice rural route)

In short: A cracking night out
In full: This was an excellent event especially as it was the first year.I was very impressed with the arrangements with Brecon Mountain Rescue to make sure everyone was safe and accounted for.Route finding was a bit tricky in places but overall the course is not as hard as you might think as all the climbing is fairly gradual. Some of the the tracks were quite loose, rocky and slippery so good footwear is a must.
Well done Duncan I hope to be back next year and hope the event goes from strength to strenth
