In short: Too expensive and not that special
In full: A few years since I've done this but for what is little more than an inner city run this was way too expensive Its Great North event but nothing like the Great North Run I didn't find the crowds that welcoming and fankly Manchester is dull!

In short: Nice way to earn your Easter eggs
In full: This race has it all a good flat course (on the whole) that offers a good chance of a PB. Its good value for money. A real friendly field which this year included some members of the Widnes Vikings Rugby squad who treated this a training run.
Reasonable crowds around parts of the course the industrial area is a bit grim but even that had some spectators.
Finish this race and apart from the Goody bag you get hot drinks, toast and hot cross buns. Tshirts and some high viz bands make it a reasonable goody bag (flex seeds and tissues???)
Well worth a go in 2011

In short: same issues as last year
In full: Nice course but does not really show off the city sites. Very congested start and finish as last year and for the the price its not that special.

In short: A fun event
In full: This is a family event and not a race so my only problem is with the people who started with prams at the front who then tried to barge past runners ahead of them. Next year they should start at the back as they pose a danger to those around them. Otherwise a great family event.
