In short: Lovely, mainly flat trail run. However it's important to follow the instructions rather than follow other runners, otherwise you could do an extra 4 miles like me!

In short: Superb scenery, but a tough run. Very well organised, although one of the buses arrived a little late and there was no finish clock. Look forward to next year.

In short: Superbly organised as usual with this year the bonus of dry underfoot conditions. Although I've done it many times as it's on my doorstep, I always enjoy it

In short: Although I have run over 70 marathons, this was my first ultra and the scenery, people and weather were all magnificent. The views were superb and the mud unprecedented in my experience, but I felt good at the end. Very friendly marshalls and compet

In short: Superb day out on South Downs Marathon - my fastest off road marathon.
In full: Lots of hills, but only slightly slower and so much more enjoyable than this year's FLM. Today I don't even feel as if I've run a marathon!

Great organisation, friendly marshalls and runners and, of course, fantastic scenery. Just need a larger T-shirt that I hope will be forthcoming.

In short: Brilliant organisation, thanks to the hardy marshalls who had a thankless task in extreme conditions. It was a real challenge battling the elements that I have never previously experienced in an event. However I hope to be there next year, as usual
