In short: Great fun in the Mendip Hills
In full: Despite getting injured and having to walk ~2.5-miles back to base (for which I was docked 270pts for being late) I still enjoyed the event. As soon as the blisters heal and muscles soothed I shall start planning my return in 2011 - well done Martin & team.

In short: Thank god for Mud Claws!
In full: My first time at the Terminator and gave me an opportunity to christen my Mudclaws which handled the mud admirably.
Still couldn't see the point of that final hill straight up then back down Pewsey White Horse, apart from the fact that it was there!

In short: Made a cold morning quite enjoyable.
In full: Great idea of having a bum-bag as a memento much better than a medal!

In short: Tough terrain rewarded with great views of the Mendips.
In full: Thoroughly enjoyable event, great interaction and banter between teams.

And what an eclectic collection for the winners prize: bucket of sand & a scarecrow! Still the Goats Leap beer went down well.

Many thanks to Martin & team!

In short: A great event and fantastic day out for the family.
In full: What can I say other than this was one of the best events that I have ever taken part in. Fun was the essence of the day (and night) and it was there in bucket loads. Running through the Mendips looking for marker flags (pity some toe-rag nicked #2) and trying to beat the clock.

In short: Tough
In full: The climbs and more noticably the descents were too steep for my unfit legs and so struggled on all but the flatest terrain (and there wasn't much of this). However at how many races do you get to see lemurs and meerkats?

In short: Good low key event.
In full: Very tough start and it didn't get that much easier for the remainder of the race.

In short: Great low key run across Salisbury Plain.
In full: That nesting curlew may have added in a few extra hills, but atleast this year the course measured somewhere handy for 13.1 miles.

The times given in the results for the half all appear to be ~40seconds out.

A little disappointed that this year the mile markers counted up from the start of the Full Marathon, rather than previously where they have counted down from the finish, which benefits both sets of runners.
