In short: Very Muddy and Wet Extreme X Country In full: Great fun i dressed as a Devil saw my Dad on the way in. Lots of roadworks meant we arrived at 11.10 still could dampen the spirit. Got very muddy wet and had a great laugh with club mates did a Mexican Wave on top of the sanddunes. Came in last 100 and walked over the line cause one of our team pulled calf on Sandunes. Ran out of Tee shirts my size and other goodies don't scrimp on the finances HELLRUNNER apart from that great laugh/race. Date of review: November 17, 2008
In short: Nice race with lots of potential for PBs In full: Down hill first mile infact quick first few. Followed by a calf strain at 34 miles :( continued even though I was on course for a PB. Ended up with a slowish time but nice course. Date of review: October 20, 2008
In short: Quick well organised local 10 miler (2 laps) In full: Not everyones cup of tea some runners in our club it was a championship race delibrately avoided this. It was flat right amount of people and started by Bob Wilson ! Nice time a bit boring on the scenery positive improvement on the Nike 10k at Wembley though.
In short: Pile of crap In full: Bad organisation, weather, course, idiots on course and marshalling. Little hitlers all over the place. One bloke shouted 4 to go at 8k 4 what ???? Never doing Nike 10ks again I believe British 10k is similar to this. Lost my bag afterwards took 20 mins to find the woman could not read numbers. In Stadium for 2 hours was in 1st wave. Bloke who got sacked from Soccer AM compared said it all. Paula was there nice touch err that was it. Bring on WGC 10 next week Date of review: September 1, 2008
In short: PB if you get a good start In full: I got an elite start through the company. Got a PB and not even running well. Pleased. It is crowded at the start you need to sprint away from them ;). Bargain as the company paid for it ! Date of review: August 4, 2008
In short: PB potential if not warm (for me) In full: If you like it warm and flat then this is your race. Local race for me 5k point end of my road ! Too warm for me Too unfit at the moment :( Date of review: August 4, 2008
In short: Good early morning race to Bag a PB (If fit I weren't) In full: Well organised race dissapointing that no medal or tee shirt or goody bag come to that. Accurate measurement 3 1/2 laps of the Park. Without doubt the best looking water girls I've seen they hired from Britians next topmodel !!!. A few peps up their own jacksy in the first couple of places look at me I'm a peacock I have a trophy. Said well done to the second place guy totally blanked me. If your feeling good this will get you a PB lots of trees/shading so heat not a prob. Date of review: June 9, 2008
In short: Hot and Undulating In full: I was in poor form 4 and half mins down on what I should of done. Lack of water considering the conditions. Well run by ST Albans Striders though apart from that. A Tough 10k give both factors.
I can see you below me Big Chief :) Date of review: May 14, 2008
In short: The annual treat - I love it In full: Great laugh again and a PB again not as quick as I wanted because of 'toilet problems'. Still 16 mins up on last year. Forgot my Garmin so went off a bit fast.Felt rough at 17 mile saying never again never again. Absolutely loving it by 21 and crowd were great in the last 4 miles I felt like a Gladiator going to war. Got cramp in the last 800 meters had to stop get water. If you've not done this you don't know what your missing. I'd didn't blubb like a baby this year. Infact just had massive smile on my face. Excellent can't wait till next year. Date of review: May 14, 2008
