In short: My first one and I enjoyed it all despite the heat
In full: There were so many inaccuracies in the information supplied prior to the race that I was really worried that it would all go wrong but to be fair it was a great day. The heat took its toll on me for the last 6 miles but the crowds on that stretch with the hosepipes kept me going. A big thank you to them and all the marshalls. great job.
At the end I seemed to be tunnelled away to the edge of the park and on my way home before i remembered the tents, massage, charities etc. It was a big park we could of been directed towards them.
All in all a great experience. well worth the flight up and a chance to see a beautiful city.

In short: A lovely race on a lovely day. Great organisation
In full: This was a great race. I was very impressed by the number of water stations, all with sponges which was much appreciated on a warm day.
The toilets were just adequate, but I haven't been to a race that has enough for the pre race rush.
The marshalling was good and the support from the crowds was good.
The people on the pavements towards the end didn't bother me as I was on the road (this was a road race wasn't it). All in all a real PB course (I did one).
The varied scenery made it interesting and the miles went quickly. All in all, It was worth the 160 mile round trip and I will be back in the future. Thanks all

In short: A challenging race but very enjoyable
In full: I loved this race. I knew it was going to be tough but I still tackled it head on and had a personal best. The organisation was great and the marshalling brilliant. Even though there was a lot of fast runners in the race the slower ones I met were friendly and encouraging. Altogether a great race and a lot of satisfaction at the end with a good goody bag.

In short: lovely race with no cars or pavements in site.
In full: I loved this race. It was my first 1/2 marathon and was a real joy. the weather made it perfect with blue skies and sunshine putting a spring in my step.
The toilets should have been signposted as we were queing for 1/2 hour for one toilet and the HQ was not signposted and took some finding.
But the race itself was well organised and the marshalls were friendly and efficient.
Thanks to all involved.
