In short: bit long? In full: Agree with the water stations not on running line - and with a long course. Seemed odd not to get medal but money raised for a good cause. Shame that nearly 200 short on last year - but I knew of 3 other local races (incl swindon half) Date of review: October 12, 2011
In short: NEW COURSE! In full: The new course for 2011 was BRILLIANT - enjoyed every minute of it. Good mixture of road/offroad, muddy tracks, tree roots, grass/corn/maize fields, stiles, hills. Loved every minute of it! Date of review: September 25, 2011
In short: Blimey! In full: Carrying an injured calf so had to go steadier than I would have preferred - but left me with an even greater sense of achievement to finish, which in essence must be one of the hardest races around. Well worth doing though Date of review: September 5, 2011
In short: first try In full: My first tri and so glad I chose this one. excellent organisation from db max. may even be a convert now! thanx to all the marshalls etc who gave up their time today Date of review: August 7, 2011
In short: dnf? In full: Torrential rain/mud/wind/freezing cold, what more could you ask for from a M/T race in the UK in June????? Really well run event - sorry I couldn't do it justice due to a pulled hamstring a mile from the end (hobbled in rather than having my first dnf). Thanks to all the marshalls for taking care of me and standing in torrential rain for all of us. Next year maybe do better?
In short: no thunderstorms! In full: So glad i decided to go ahead with this race even though it was an hour away - especially seeing as i left home in torrential rain AND thunder and lightning!!! But the rain held off for chard runners and what a charming (and hard) run this was. Definitely not an easy 10k (ish) but one that everyone should mark in their calender. Well done everyone - runners and organisers alike Date of review: June 5, 2011
In short: nice to be back In full: haven't done this one for a few years and glad I did again today. A toughie but all levels gave it a go. Nicely low-key but I think thats what makes it attractive. Good winning times(and especially in the juniors 3m fun run). Great day out - thanks CRC. Date of review: May 22, 2011
In short: a great cowpat replacement In full: So glad somer ac managed to find a replacement for the cowpat canter. this race was brilliant. good organisation and goody bag. we managed to lose the race organiser but with everyone in good spirits this didn't put the damper on things. a great course (with jack and jill hill over surprisingly quick) - oh and can't wait to have a go at this one in the mud!!! bring it on again next year somer.... please Date of review: May 15, 2011
