In short: AMAZING!!!!
In full: My first marathon and what an experience. The crowd were just amazing, shouting out my name, handing out food - Thank you everyone for coming to watch, despite the rain! Thanks to the St John's Ambulance for handing out foils when it got really cold at mile 20. One tiny tiny gripe - the goody bags are very male orientated - male shower gel, deodrant and a HUGE finisher t-shirt...ah well, It was the best day!

In short: Pros & Cons!!!
In full: Pros: Great support all the way round, good marshalling, great pb potential, great goody bag, t-shirt included this year.....BUT
Cons: runners village in a field+rain=MUD!! not fun at all, mud-caked trainers, one hour delay at start, having to hang about in the cold wind and rain, scrum to get a bag and t-shirt at the end....I could go on.
It seems there were too many runners this year which is great in theory but make sure you can cater for us!!

In short: I got a PB despite the winds!
In full: I must admit, after reading last year's review of this race, I might have been expecting more (free food at the end?) but the organisation was good. It felt a bit lonely at some stages with not many spectators, but then who'd want to stand around in the cold wind!!

In short: soup?
In full: Always enjoyable as it's my local race, but the organisers need to get it right! Didn't get a goodie bag at the end, but probably wasn't worth it for the soup! Please can we have a chocolate bar or something instantly edible next year!!!? Nice T-shirt this year - shame the men didn't get theirs. Sort it out!
