In short: Tough, scenic, friendly xc race with the best water / feed stations
In full: My second time and it was as good as the first.
Great hilly route, superb organisation, fantastic provisions, friendly marshalls and runners, overall one of the nicest races you could choose to do.

In short: A fast, friendly race with a useful memento.
In full: Can we keep this route? I thought it was far more interesting than the usual 3 laps and there was less pressure on toilet facilities. Minor quibble - the finish funnel was a bit confusing, and I was one of many that didn't notice the clock as it was off to the side.
I know it can't be easy organising around the park's other New Year users.
Good race, nice towel, well done Serpies.

In short: It's as good as everyone says it is.
In full: I usually prefer not to know too much about a tricky race beforehand but this time I'm glad I found out just where it would get tough. Great weather, great course, great organisation and marshalling, friendly runners, plenty of spectators, loads of food and drink and possibly the best downhill finish ever. Now I'm in pain but it was worth it.

In short: Friendly, good value and PB potential
In full: Great organisation, free food (though sadly no cake this year)and the towel is the most useful memento of any race I've done. I'm not a fan of laps but the course is wide enough to get up to speed for a PB. Having seen the suggestion for chip timing in order to expand the race next year I say go for it.

In short: Enjoyable race despite the weather.
In full: Well-organised, good facilities, the weather probably helped as there were less bikers, dog-walkers, family groups etc. sharing the route. I felt sorry for the marshalls when I stopped running and realised just how cold it was.

In short: Tough, beautiful route. Superb organisation. Generous provisions
In full: Fantastic run though I'm shattered as it was my first 20M(ish). I don't think I've ever been to any PJC run that wasn't brilliantly organised. Loads of friendly marshalls bearing supplies, a man with a power washer to clean your shoes and as much cake and fruit as you can take away with you.

In short: Friendly, flat and fast. Ideal for first attempt at half marathon distance.
In full: Organisation more laid-back than I'm used to (what time did the race start?) but actually very well done -plenty of water, marshalls with lists of names etc.I'd be interested to know why comments on the distance seem to vary but I'm pleased and slightly suprised with my time.

In short: Tough, hilly, scenic ,well-organised and great fun.
In full: Knew this one wasn't PB material but had to try it as it was the last year. Friendly and well-organised, great marshalls and results emailed within a day.It lived up to expectations. As others have said it's a pity it's the last one as I'd like to keep trying every year.
