In short: Brilliant Grizzly yet again.
In full: Another brilliant jaunt on the south Devon coast. One of the tougher ones, I thought all the subtle little hilss in the first half were particularly tiring. Shame the timing didn't work but I always go on my placing in the Grizzly. Got 13th March 2011 pencilled in already.

In short: Silky smooth organisation, no wonder this fills out in 2 weeks.
In full: Over the last 10 years I've done this race more often than not and it will remain one of my favourites. Hills are tough but well spaced out nice little sting in the tail to finish and a cracking atmnosphere.

In short: Brilliant replacement for The Hartshill Heartbreak.
In full: The Hartshill Heatbreak was one of my favorite races so I was disappointed when it vanished from the calender. However, Sphinx AC have managed to put on a great race as a replacement. Wonderful venue, not as tough as many multi-terrains but the use of some of the WW2 bomb craters in the final third help to make up for that. Nicely organised £8 buys parking (normally a few quid here), the race entry, a T shirt, bottle of water and a cup of soup. Excellent value - but don't tell everyone the venue can't cope with huge numbers.

In short: Tough race - could do with a number of improvements for the future.
In full: For someone who doesn't come from Milton Keynes the directions to get to the race venue lacked clarity.
The event t-shirt wasn't specially printed no big deal it's a good quality t-shirt.
The marshalling was not of the highest standard and a little confusing around the "apex" of the Killer K.

In short: Real fun for big kids.
In full: Really enjoyed this one, great atmosphere. Friendly competitors and well marshalled. Potential improvements would be to move change the route so the earlier wave runners heading towards Notts Forest's City Ground didin't meet slower runners on the path. There also needs to be some improvements to cut queues at water slide, under armour zone and the urban jungle.

In short: For an inaugral event, this was a good start.
In full: Appreciate that there were parking problems, and other traffic issues but felt especially as it was a pleasant day the right thing was to delay the start to sort these out.
The PA does need to be more audible and I'm not interested in a highly detailed course description.
The removal of chips and handing out of goody bags could have been better handled.
If I've paid £10 to enter a race I don't expect a lot in the the goody bag.
The course was very good, could be improved to remove the small final dog-leg but that's being picky.
The on-course marshalling and support was similarly very good.
Overall the buzz and vibrant atmosphere made up for some of the small details.

In short: First ever event using two wheels.
In full: Having only recently learned to ride a bike, this was my introduction to multi-sport races. Really good organisation some real speed merchants at the front. My experience would have been better but for a slight bike accident but that's the problem of being a novice.

In short: Very well organised race.
In full: Really good race to prep you up for challenges later in the season. The continual rolling hills (I thought Lincolnshire was flat) make this a tough race. The marshalling was excellent and lack of traffic on most of the roads was very welcoming. Gets good PB potential cos it's not often you do a 30K road race.

In full: If you've got an active dog these races are worth looking out for. Friendly social events with a race attached, the dogs all love it as well.
