In short: Good support, poor route, no t-shirt
In full: I really enjoyed the crowd support, who turned up and stood in the rain to cheer us on. Thank you all.
As the race course.. there were parts where we were made to slow down because it was 'slippery'. This is because they chose to have the race go down an entrance ramp to a car park which was slick with petrol and oil and it was wet. Not a good choice and spoiled some peoples PB chances. I hope this is changed for next year.
The course was billed as 'flat', which it wasnt. There were a number of inclines which werent that bad but the advertising was misleading.
The goody bag was abyssmal... no t-shirt! I got an Alpen bar and a medal... rubbish, as this race cost the same as others of its kind and they manage to include better stuff.
Facilities at the stadium were good though.

In short: Vroom Vroom :o)
In full: I loved this 1/2!! It was everything I was hoping for, pigrims drop, druids bend.. it was fab. I even veered off into the skid pans at one point just for the fun of it :o). The stage where it went across the parkland in the footpaths was a little boring, but the rest was good. It was wonderful running on the track (despite the camber), and the wooded sections were lovely. The marshalls were all very positive and encouraging, although more assistance through the car park areas in terms of where we should be going would be helpful. Finishing in the pit lane was awesome, but the best thing was having the lights to start you off just as if we were racing cars, and yes I did have to go and stand on the pole position place... well you have to don't you???
