In short: Awesome hill- both ways!
In full: They very kindly warn you about the hill at the start- over 200ft up over the first half mile, but thereafter a pleasant undulating route over mostly quiet roads. Well marshalled in all the right places and pleasant conditions weather-wise.
On the way back the hill was serious fun coming down.
Hope everyone managed to avoid the roadkill pheasant at the side of the road!

In short: Excellent, slick Purple Patch Event
In full: Really nice route, great weather. However proved my theory I am not a long-distance summer runner as even the motivation of this did not make me keep my training up to scratch.
An idyllic run- might do it again in cooler weather.

In short: Another glorious Sam Run despite the heat and humidity!
In full: Once again did this as a family. 6 year old knocked about 8 mins of his time from last year and 9 year old was also a couple of mins. quicker. This really is a lovely 5K (or 10K I'm sure altho' I'm not a fan of lapped races).
Lots of families there and children running; lots for the non-runners to do while they wait, beautiful off-road location and a worthy cause. Well organised as ever and I even noticed the Ts&Cs say "don't pass on your number without telling us". How civilised/ realistic!

In short: Well organised even down to the weather!
In full: Great run, PB for me and 6 mins quicker than last time I ran here. Well organised, friendly marshalls, good atmosphere and convenient. It's not the most exciting of places and the headwind catches you somewhere, but a great fast race and nice to see some forumites there!

In short: Very Hot!!!!!
In full: Well organised despite having to be rearranged. Nice for the marshalls to have to avoid sunstroke rather than hypothermia but too hot for me. Still a PB and look forward to trying it again at the right time of year.

In short: My local so rude not to!
In full: Despite the deluging rain earlier, the organisers managed to switch on the sunshine for the race itself. Usual well organised friendly event. Woodley isn't the most attractive of places but it's a nice race.
Thanks to Woodley Scouts.

In short: My local so a shame not to do it.
In full: A great event to take part in as part of a big crowd and knocked 14 minutes off my time from last year so I guess I have to love it. Might do it again or just do the Greenpark Challenge with my kids which I also did this time. GPC is def. good value for money.

In short: Awesome race
In full: Beautiful scenery, friendly marshals in all the right places, incredible weather, really good organisation from car parking to baggage storage. PB for me (but only 2nd HM) for others the bridges and tow path gates might slow you down.

In short: Puts the Fun into Run
In full: The best fun I have ever had in a run in 21 months of running. Last minute nerves (why am I here?) rapidly disappeared on a beautiful December morning. Water was cold, mud was squelchy and trainers are in the bin. No point worrying about finishing time, just enjoyed the whole experience. F.A.B.!

In short: Really nice despite crowded start
In full: A really nice run, although I started in the correct "pen" for my predicted time and I can't imagine anyone else around me managed it; in future I would start further forward. It was a real slow scrum for the first couple of K but better afterwards apart from a couple of bottlenecks. Very nice route to run. Not especially hilly altho' slippy in places. Well organised and well supported and very hot!!
