In short: Not the best half marathon
In full: I had no problems parking as we go there 1 hour early parked near start so we got out easy, there is a lesson to be learned there for some!.The course was ok nice and flat some scenic places and a lot of under passes,The water stations were under manned, but i still got one with little trouble. The finish was poor as the crowd goes as ther was little clapping ect I May do it again but is it worth coming down from Sheffield for?
As someone else commented on where was Nike

In short: GREAT RACE WOULD DO IT AGAIN!
In full: I really enjoyed my first half marathon even carring a foot problem. The red arrows flying over just as i had crossed the tyne bridge was fantastic. The supporters were second to none. I would say though getting held up with slower runners not being able to get passed spoiled it slightly.Buses at end a farse, make it so you pay the bus fares before the race, you get a sticker to show you have paid (like Edinbrough marathon)This is if you need a bus, saves a lot of time and queuing as you walk straight on

In short: Would do it again odd thing could have been better
In full: we came up from sheffield on saturday before race than had to get to expo on other side of city. you could easy find somewhere more cental to pick items up,or even send them out by post. They had also ran out of x-large t shirts, but this happens. The race was enjoyable there were two teams of us so we had someone to run with.My wife and i were on relay changeover 1 which was by far the worst because we had to leave earlyist on the bus and then we were in a field with the wind cutting through us shivering for 2 hours.i m not even going to mention the bus queue But saying all this i now want to do the full marathon next year and run through that fantastic finish,
