In short: Mudwood challenge
In full: I'd trained for hills, but not quite so many of them. A compelling experience: severe hills; quiet sylvan interludes; greasy precipitous descents; rocks, spikes and thorns. Road-running is going to seem very tame hereafter.

In short: Interesting changes of terrain
In full: My second TT and it's now established as one of my favourite races on the calendar. Although tired I loved the lap of the marina put in this year. Congratulations and thanks to the friendly and efficient organisers and marshals.

In short: A tough test in a magnificent setting
In full: This great race is a stern test of specific training:to run the hills strongly, control the downhills and open up down the long finishing straight. The unobtrusive efficiency of the organisation and the family atmosphere with children and even dogs cheering us on made it an event my daughter and I thoroughly appreciated.

In short: Wonderful spectators -but too many runners
In full: It's all been said. The event has been allowed to expand beyond the capacity of its environment.I loved the course, although ran it sluggishly. Thanks to the people of Bath. Please consider entry cut-off at 8k.

In short: 'Weston Superman' said my granddaughter afterwards.
In full: A varied and challenging race with a serious hill reducing many to walking, and some irritating flights of steps which surely should be avoided. My daughter and I much enjoyed the different surfaces and the contrast of enclosed woodland and open beach.
