In short: Enjoyable two lap race of country estate. Excellent fun run
In full: Good directions and plenty of parking near the start and the toilets allowed runners to remain in the relative warmth of their cars till near the off. It was cold and slightly breasy. Multiterrane course but not slippy as ground frozen. Two laps with inclines and one steepish downhill varied the challenge. Good bunch of runners and although not great organsiation at finish was reasonably sorted. Would recommend this race to all locals.

In short: Fast, fun, well organised and very cold
In full: Very well organised, clear instructions sent well in advance of race, changing tents, chemi loos, finishing timer on display, free post race hot drinks (tea/coffee/soup)and friendly marshalls/support staff. Fellow runners were chatty and good humoured before the off. Fast race mainly in country lanes with definte PB potential. Goodie bag with pudding and certificate included. Only minor downsides were the street only parking (no car park)and cold. Well done to organisers.

In short: Challenging and well organised half marathon
In full: Stood in the cold before the start realising that we are all mad, still a friendly group of runners and an interesting and challenging course soon took my mind off the freezing rain.Appeared well organised but could not hear the warnings on IPODs at the start so was supprised to check the results and see people DQed for using them, shame.I will be back next year.

In short: Excellent organisation, great course and friendly atomsphere.
In full: My first 10 mile was a very enjoyable event. Well organised and friendly supportive marshals, mile markers all the way and well manned water stops. Nice start and finish area with all you could need plus tea and cakes, lovely. My favourite race this year!

In short: Very friendly well organised event, that hill will live long in my memory,
In full: Very well organsied, free parking and well marked and marshalled course. Mainly tank tracks with plenty of challenge. The hill at 4K was hugh, very step and long going up and steeper and slippy (loose stones) going down. Felt very pleased to have completed this course and would recommend the race to all, but make sure you are reasonably fit.

In short: fast and unhasselled course, well marshalled.
In full: Very chilly start on the sea front but good turn out and relaxed atomsphere before the off. Free parking at the start but this was half a mile from the finish. Course was simple to follow and with only gentle undulations a good time is possible. Good mix of abilities made for good race. Nice welcome at the finish.

In short: Friendly atmosphere, all abilities, easy parking, challenging but unattractive course
In full: Good marshalling and well marked course however lack of 3 & 4 mile markers disapointing. Course round housng estate with unexpected hills was challenging. All abilities turned out and made a relaxed atomsphere with lots of post race chat.

In short: Well organised road race, good mix of abilities. Relaxed atmosphere.
In full: Easy to find, plenty of free parking and obvious where to registered etc. Based in a local park there was plenty of space to warm and relax pre race. Start delayed by five minutes due to shortage of ladies toilets, but not a big deal. Entire race on road with a couple of stupid impatient drivers around. Route was well marked and marshaled (organisation was very good). There was a mixture of abilities from excellent down to 1 hr 20min fun runners. Relaxed enjoyable race.

In short: local undulating forest track/ heath run with good spread of running standards
In full: The directions to the venue were very poor so I assume the 170 who made the run were mainly locals. Registration was quick and atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. There appeared to be only a small percentage club runners. The race itself was well marshalled and challenging. Starting in the forest it was quickly apparent that this was an undulating (not hilly) run on well worn and wide tracks. The last two miles were out on the open heath which gave some much needed motivation as you can see the runners for some distance ahead. The finish was well organised, medal to all and water available. At six pounds a head it is an excellent value for money run. I would recommend this race for fun runners after a challenge but allow plenty of time to find the location and take a map rather than relie on the directions.
